assessments involving receptive (auditory and reading comprehension) and expressive (verbal and written) language, and cognitive and executive functioning. These assessments were then related to how they could affect the defendant’s understanding of the Miranda warning. Convicted (note: my report ended with 11 points as to why the defendant most likely understood the Miranda warning). (Retained by defense, Austin, TX.)
