Lead Technician | Subsea Caisson Inspection Using Automated TOFD and UT | Exxon/Esso Working with work class ROV systems to achieved FFS inspections in a challenging environment. Working within the splash zone collecting automated TOFD and UT data on complex geometry welds. Heavily involved in the procedure writing for the whole inspection campaign.

Lead Technician | Subsea ROV Inspection | Murphy Oil/Petronas Working with state-of-the-art subsea inspection equipment to complete inspections at depths of 1400 metres and deeper. Heavily involved in the designing and testing of the Sonomatic ROV scanner. Working closely with client reps, engineers and ROV operators to complete the inspection task in a difficult environment.

Lead Technician | Topside Corrosion Mapping for NII Purposes | Tartan & other Installations Liaising with client and project engineers. Completing workscope to engineer’s requirements. Taking accurate, reliable data and producing a detailed report including composite images of mapped vessels (C-scan) along with detailed information of the vessel welds using TOFD.

Carburisation Inspection of Furnace Piping using TOFD | Cepsa (Tenerife) Using TOFD to determine which furnace pipes are carburised and creating a detailed report.

Code Compliance Weld Testing | Growhow Using TOFD and Pulse Echo (Automated) on stainless steel pipelines to identify areas of interest, then cross-examining with pulse echo. Working to a code of compliance for reporting. Practicing a new technique that was conducted in house working with a team to produce a new procedure for the work onsite.

Multiskip and Chime Inspection for Clamp Supports | Shell Leman Field. Liaising with engineers and Shell’s NDT technical division. Using motorised ring assemblies to drive the probes, complying with strict data guidelines.

Subsea Weld Repairs | Ninian South Utilising divers to test weld repairs for code compliance; methods used were TOFD, Pulse Echo and MPI. Working closely with client reps, engineers and 3.4U operators. State-of-the-art hyperbaric weld repair and inspection campaign completed on numerous occasions.

Wind Turbine Inspection | Scottish Southern Energy (SSE) Using TOFD, Automated B-scans and Manual UT on circumferential welds and long welds for code compliance.

John Brookes Subsea Pipeline Inspection | Apache Energy Ultrasonic inspection for Apache Energy in Australia, using TOFD and AUT data collection with the Sonomatic Subsea Nautilus scanner. Developing scanner parts to enable clear access in order to scan underneath flange bolts and other complex areas.

KGP Multi-Skip Inspection Campaign | Woodside Energy, Karratha Gas Plant Inspecting the TOT1 unit (slug catcher) of the gas plant and utilising Multi-Skip for external corrosion detection underneath saddle supports. Liaising with both Woodside and Sonomatic engineers and carrying out rotations of up to 8 weeks at a time.

Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping Inspection Using TOFD and UT | Vermilion Energy Completing a pressure vessel and pressure piping inspection on-board the Wandoo B Platform off the Northwest shelf off Australia. Heavily involved in the examination and inspection of the process pressure piping and vessel using my API 570 qualification and API 510 knowledge.
