Issue: ‘An important topic or problem for debate or discussion.’

What issues do you care about in this school?

In your local community?

Consider what issues these photos bring to mind.

Write down the three issues you care about most from the film. This could be things that make you glad, mad or sad. Write one per sticky note. Try to be specific if you can.

For example: Sad about - ‘the increase of cyber-bullying on

Face book.’ (rather than just ‘bullying’)

Watch the photo montage

Think – about these issues for a moment on your own. What are the problems? Where have you seen consequences of this?

Pair – Discuss your issues with a partner. Why do you feel strongly about them? Is there one that is of the most concern to you?

Share – Join with another pair and look at all the sticky notes. Did you have similar things? Could these fit into broader categories? Give each group a title.

Ethical Environmental Social Human Rights Equality Safety

Questions to think about: How difficult was it to group the issues? Why?

Do they always fall into one category?

Which ones were you drawn to? Why?

Which issue matters the most to you? Why?

Write down some of the issues identified by the class in your workbook.
