Content Passion

• I will be a student teacher this coming spring semester and I am looking forward to teaching welding, small gas engines, and a plant science course. I have a passion to teach welding because I always enjoyed it when I was in high school, I believe that it is a skill that students will find useful for years to come. Similar reasons are why I will enjoy teaching small gas engines, I love teaching people skills that will benefit them in the, “real world”. I am looking forward to teaching plant science because I never had a class that focused on plant sciences and I am very excited to learn while teaching the students!

Within your subject matter, what are you passionate about teaching? In other words, of all the topics and standards you teach as part of your curriculum, which are the ones you most enjoy?

Professional Passion

• Providing student with information that will be useful for the rest of their lives is what drives me. Also, being someone that students can look up to is something that I am looking forward to. What ignites a fire inside me is whenever a student is interested in the subject at hand, and wants to learn more.

Within your profession, but not specific to your subject matter, what are you passionate about? What is it about being an educator that drives you? What ignites a fire inside of you?

Personal Passion

• I am passionate about helping my friends and family with whatever they need. I am almost always the first person that someone calls whenever they need help with anything from working on their vehicles, working on their houses, or just needing someone to talk to. I get satisfaction from helping people and making their lives easier and more comfortable.
