Passier. The former regimental

saddlery has developed

into a modern company

which exports to over 40

countries on all continents

of the world. Nevertheless

the company headquarters

still remain in Langenhagen.

And Passier still is and will

be a family business which

is meanwhile in the hands of

the fifth generation. This en-

sures that, even 145 years af-

ter its foundation, Passier still

Every Passier sad-dle has a flexible saddle tree as well as a wide channel which makes it extremely com-fortable for the horse. The adjust-able width of the gullet plate means a Passier saddle can be adjusted perfectly to suit the shape of any horse‘s back.This can even be done a number of times. In this con-text an optimum fit, and therefore respect and care of the horse, is the ultimate prior-ity – whilst at the same time main-taining excellent seating quality for the rider, which ensures a unique riding experi-ence. The elegant Passier Collection is perfect for everyone who really wants to have something special

for themselves as well as their horse. Because the Passier Collection not only looks very good, it also

convinces by means of its very good functionality! The new collection includes a padded head-

collar, a tricolor plaited lead rope, an attractive anti-fly hood, robust fleece bandages, an elegant-

functional fleece cooler rug and two different styles of saddle cloth – one in classical quilted look

and the other in imitation suede with a noble coat of arms. Each style is available in a dressage as

well as a jumping design. Also new are the Passier stable and turnout rugs which are available either

with 150 g or 400 g filling.

Whether bay, black, chestnut, skewbald or grey – with the Passier Collection every horse looks a real stunner!

Everything at a glance: from our dressage saddle cloth to anti-fly hood – the Passier Collection makes it possible for every horse to be perfectly equipped for every occasion.

The quilted saddle cloth and the saddle cloth with coat of arms are each available in a dressage as well as a jumping design.

Noble blue and simple white: These have always been the traditional Passier

colors – ever since 1867. This is also reflected in the Passier Collection: all

saddle cloths and bandages are always available in two colors. Perfect for

training – and naturally also for competitions, in other words whenever it is a

question of cutting a particularly good figure…

The practical stable rug with wither padding is especially horse-friendly and available with 150 g or 400 g filling.

The perfect saddle for young dressage riders which convinces by

its elegant appearance as well as wide variability. Because a choice

of three practical thigh supports in a variety of sizes are available

for the Young Star and the Velcro underside means they can be

positioned wherever they are required. The result: The leg is always

positioned correctly and has precisely the right support. The sad-

dle is therefore absolutely perfect for young riders who are still

growing as well as for other riders who appreciate the benefits of

adjustable thigh supports.

Further extra features of the Young Star include freedom panels,

soft double seat lining and the practical billet with point billet

straps which ensures that the saddle is always positioned correctly

on the horse’s back. The saddle for the stars of tomorrow is made

of hard-wearing Jupa leather and available in sizes 15.5“ and 16“.

The snaffle which convinces at first glance by means of its elegant waved

browband with strass crystals – and its unique craftsmanship. For example

the noseband head strap is positioned on top of the softly lined head

piece, rather than underneath. As a consequence the snaffle is extremely

comfortable for the horse because there is no more pressing on its poll.

The snaffle is equipped with a narrow, softly lined flash noseband and

available with stainless steel or brass fittings in pony size, cob size, full

size and over size. Narrow web reins with leather hand grips and stops

complete the elegant picture.

ensures that the saddle remains firmly in place: Whilst pressure is taken off the shoulder at the front, at the back the strap exerts just the right pressure in precisely the area where the greatest hold is required.

2+3 The special form of the panelsmeans that the horse has particularly good freedom of the withers and shoulders. The rounded panel flock-ing behind the shoulder guarantees that pressure on the shoulder is reduced to a minimum.

A saddle and its success story: The Compact Dressage Saddle is a new

product presented by Passier which has been developed especially to

comply with the requirements of today’s riders and horses. The starting

point: Horses are being bred with increasingly short backs. Neverthe-

less riders are not necessarily getting smaller. Therefore the need has

arisen for a ”shorter“ saddle with a large, comfortable seat. It used to be

common practice to select a very small seat for compact horses to pre-

vent the back of the saddle from exerting pressure in the loins area and

therefore – in the interest of the horses – riders often found themselves

squashed in a seat which was much too small for them...

A problem and a solution: Passier developed the Compact Dressage

Saddle – and the impossible was thus made possible: a short contact

surface for the horse combined with a significantly larger and more

comfortable seat for the rider. For this purpose, however, the saddle

had to be completely reconstructed. And here it once again became

obvious that it is a big advantage if saddle development and saddle

production take place within the same company at one single location.

And thus the Compact Saddle was created at the same place as all

other Passier saddles for the last 145 years: in Langenhagen near Hano-

ver, Germany. It goes without saying, however, that the saddle is sold all

over the world. With enormous success…

Anyone who wishes his horse to make a really dazzling appearance from

mings. Because with its softly lined head piece it is not only particularly
