Sierra SpringsSierra Springs Shopping Centre is a 43-acre site ideally located in Airdrie, on Yankee Valley Boulevard (44,430 vehicles per day), and Highway 2 (108,710 vehicles per day), which is the main corridor between Calgary and Edmonton. At build out, the development will be over 400,000 SF. This site services the city of Airdrie, as well as the communities in the north-west quadrant of Calgary, including Harvest Hills, Cov-entry Hills, Panorama Hills, and Evanston. Known as the largest shopping centre in Airdrie, Sierra Springs Shopping Centre features a strong tenant mix, including national big-box retailers such as Walmart, The Home Depot, Co-op, and Rona. Other notable tenants in the shopping centre include Five Guys Burgers and Fries, London Drugs, and Dollarama.

The city of Airdrie is located north of Calgary within the Calgary–Edmon-ton Corridor at the intersection of Queen Elizabeth II Highway (Highway 2) and Highway 567. Airdrie is also part of the Calgary census metropolitan area and a member community of the Calgary Regional Partnership (CRP). Airdrie is only 15 minutes from the Calgary International Airport, and 30 minutes from Downtown Cal-gary, and the city continues to be one of the fastest growing cities in Canada with a primary trade area of over 68,000 people. According to Census Canada, Airdrie has seen an annual growth average of 8.08% over the past 5 years and a growth of 4.98% in population from 2016. This city also has a young popula-tion, with 86% of residents being under age 50, and 1/3 of the population between the ages of 25 - 44. Airdrie is home to many outdoor festivals and events. Nose Creek Park hosts the annual Airdrie Festival of Lights in the Christmas season. Other annual festivals include the Canada Day Parade and the Airdrie Pro Rodeo. Airdrie’s primary cultural venues include the Nose Creek Valley Museum and the Bert Church Live Theatre.
