Partners for Success

2017 Narrative Report

Partners for Success was allowed to extend our grant number Al 3A V00302 this allowed

Partners for Success to do so much with the remaining balance that was there This made us

think about what was really needed and where do we start The first place where we looked was

within the Partners for Success program Since technology is always changing we were excited

to purchase new equipment for the staff and heip start the new Partners for Success Training

CenterDuring the time of so much change in our building Partners for Success was growing

We needed to get more room in our building and a nice classroom area to have more trainings

Since the Spring of 2017 we seen the growth of more participants With the word getting out

that we supported students who wanted to take a class at a time was great news for the full time

parent and working mother or father who never finished coll~ge or wanted to pursue a degree or

trade

Every chance that we could we did outreach around the community This brought in more

numbers even if it was for helping do a resume or apply for a job online At times this was the

very first time that the participant came into the Partners for Success building Outreach plays a

big role here on the Laguna Pueblo Reservation as a great deal of information is passed by word

ofmouth

The next steps we took were reaching out to the schools Partners for Success looked at what

the schools needed This was very important to think outside the box as what we help our

teachers with effects our students and the way that they learn Technology was a big one The

teachers and the students need to work together so that one day they will come through the

Partners for Success doors and know what is expected of them

The mission of Partners for Success is simple Help our People With a ever changing world

we feel that what we did with the extension of funds is and will truly benefit our people and the
