INTERNATIONAL EUCHARISTIC CONGRRESS 2020

THE SPRING EDITION OF NEW DAWN will be

launched on Thursday next, 20th February at 7.30pm. in Corran-

dulla parish. All are welcome to attend. The magazine will be

available in the church next weekend, 22nd/23rd February.

ANNUAL MASS TO REMEMBER VICTIMS OF CRIME

You are invited to attend a special Mass to remember victims of

crime on Sunday, 23rd February at 12 noon in Knock Basilica.

This Mass is in association with the Federation for Victim

Assistance and supports European Victim of Crime Day to re-

member all who suffer at the hands of criminals throughout the

island of Ireland and Europe. For more details please contact

ARISE is a one-day festival for young adults (18-35 years) tak-

ing place in Knock on Saturday 7th March. Organised by

CYMI, the new umbrella organisation for youth ministry in Ire-

land, it will be an inspiring day of music, talks, and workshops.

Tasters in Theology with Professor Eamonn Conway (Head

of Theology & Religious Studies, MIC Limerick) taking

place February 20th and 27th from 8.00 - 9.30pm. at Knock

Women of the Well Weekend Retreat Friday 21st from

7.30 - 9.00pm. & Saturday 22nd February from 9.30am -

4.00pm. in the Prayer Centre, Knock Shrine. Fee €50

BALLYHAUNIS TIDY TOWNS MEETING will be held on

Wednesday 19th February at 8.00pm. in the Community Hall.

FORÓIGE: Ballyhaunis Youth Service will officially launch

its newly named service - the BEY Project - on Friday 21st Feb-

ruary at 1.00pm. in the Community Hall. Keynote speaker on

the day, Professor Ursula Kilkelly, University College Cork.

MINI-SPORTS EVENT - Athletics, Long Puc, Long Throw,

FREE ELECTRICAL RECYCLING: WEEE collection of

household electrical goods will take place on Saturday 29th Feb-

ruary in Knox St. car park.

GAA CLUB MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION: Bally-

haunis GAA Club will hold 2 additional registration & member-

ship evenings on Friday 21st and Friday 28th February from

6.00 - 8.00pm. in the clubhouse. All club players - boys and

girls from U-age to adult level and club members are asked to

register on these dates.

Also all members are asked to return the GAA National Club

Draw 2020 tickets to the officers of Ballyhaunis GAA Club by

16th February 2020.

TOOREEN COMMUNITY GROUP are holding a scrap metal

collection on Saturday 22nd and 29th February. Items can be

dropped off in Tooreen Village car park on both days from

10.00am. to 4.00pm. or collection can be arranged by contacting

3744150. All support is greatly appreciated.

ENABLE IRELAND Mayo Services require volunteers to

work with children with disabilities throughout County Mayo in

a variety of settings such as ‘buddy’ role in home or in the com-

munity, sports and social activities and centre based. Training

ANAM CARA MAYO the organisation that supports bereaved

parents, is holding a Bereavement Information Evening on 25th

February at 7:20pm in the TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar. This is a

free event and open to all bereaved parents. As Anam Cara will
