NEW BLESSING FOR HOLY CROSS
My dear parishioners, I am extremely glad to inform you that we will soon have one more deacon serving our parish. As soon as he receives his appointment from our Bishop he will come on board.
Here Ken introduces himself: I am Deacon Ken Wasko, and my wife is Diana. We moved to Aubrey, Texas after my re-tirement from Corporate America to be closer to our grandchildren. We have 4 grown married children, Ken II, Sean, Robert, and Michelle. We are blessed with 10 grandchildren, all boys till the last one. My wife Diana grew up in Austin where we got married in St. Williams in Round Rock Texas in 1978. I was ordained September 27, 2014 in Rockford, Illinois for the Diocese of Rockford. I was assigned to my home parish, Saints Peter and Paul in Cary, Illinois up until now. I have a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Florida. My corporate career included 20 years with Motorola, 3 years EF Johnson, and 12 years with Zebra Technologies where I held varying position in supply chain, qual-ity, and engineering. Currently I work as a part time Chaplain at the Baylor Scott and White hospitals in Dallas and McKinney. Two months back I met with Fr. Joseph and my wife and I have been coming to Holy Cross since then. We love Holy Cross, and I am eagerly waiting to begin my pastoral ministry. Please keep my family in your prayers and I will do the same for you.
Mis queridos feligreses, Estoy muy contento de informarles que pronto tendremos un diácono más sirvien-do a nuestra parroquia, en conjunto con Diacono Richard Stalder me seguiran ayudando con la comunidad de Ingles, y nuestro Diacono Simon Torrez, con las 2 comunidades. Tan pronto como reciba su nombram-iento de nuestro Obispo, subirá a bordo. Esta es su presentacion: Soy el diácono Ken Wasko y mi esposa es Diana. Are you an active participant at Sunday Mass? Are you joyful when participating in parish ministry? Do you give gratefully and generously with your financial support to your parish and other Church needs? Marriages
Marriages require a preparation period of six to nine months. Either the Bride or Groom, or one of their families must be registered in Holy Cross Parish at least three months before the Marriage preparations begin. For more information, please contact Araceli at: 972-625-5252

Registration for Religious Education and Youth Group
Registrations for Religious Education (grades K-5) and Youth Ministry (grades 6-12) will begin on June 1st and close August 6th. Registration form will be available online or in the parish of-
fice. Registration for Sacramental preparation and RCIA (Rites for Christian Initiation of Adults, Youth or kids) will also be available for this time period. The classes will be in person. For any questions, please email Karen da Costa ([email protected]) grades K-

Dear Holy Cross Ladies: Do you hear St. Gabriel calling you to service? The Gabriel Project, needs Angels to help a mom through what can be very difficult time. But we also have a way for you to get involved in a way that requires almost no time and very little space. If you can store a small plastic bin filled with baby items, give me a call. I will stock the bin with items and bring it to your home with an inventory sheet. When one of our moms needs something, I will call you and pick it up. It may seem like a small thing, but believe me, it would be a big help. Think about it. Pray about it. Then give me a call at 469-971-4490. I look forward to hearing from you. I also want to thank the several ladies who are already helping in this capacity. They are gems. God bless you all.
