NEW BLESSING FOR HOLY CROSS
My dear parishioners, I am extremely glad to inform you that we will soon have one more deacon serving our parish. As soon as he receives his appointment from our Bishop he will come on board.
Here Ken introduces himself: I am Deacon Ken Wasko, and my wife is Diana. We moved to Aubrey, Texas after my re-tirement from Corporate America to be closer to our grandchildren. We have 4 grown married children, Ken II, Sean, Robert, and Michelle. We are blessed with 10 grandchildren, all boys till the last one. My wife Diana grew up in Austin where we got married in St. Williams in Round Rock Texas in 1978. I was ordained September 27, 2014 in Rockford, Illinois for the Diocese of Rockford. I was assigned to my home parish, Saints Peter and Paul in Cary, Illinois up until now. I have a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Florida. My corporate career included 20 years with Motorola, 3 years EF Johnson, and 12 years with Zebra Technologies where I held varying position in supply chain, qual-ity, and engineering. Currently I work as a part time Chaplain at the Baylor Scott and White hospitals in Dallas and McKinney. Two months back I met with Fr. Joseph and my wife I have been coming to Holy Cross since then. We love Holy Cross, and I am eagerly waiting to begin my pastoral ministry. Please keep my family in your prayers and I will do the same for you.

Diacono Simon Torrez, con las 2 comunidades. Tan pronto como reciba su nombramiento de nuestro Obispo, subirá a bordo. Esta es su presentacion: Soy el diácono Ken Wasko y mi esposa es Diana. Nos mudamos a Aubrey, Texas después de mi retiro de Corporate America para estar más cerca de nuestros nietos. Tenemos 4 hijos casados adultos, Ken II, Sean, Robert y Michelle. Somos bendecidos con 10 nietos, todos niños hasta el último. April 25, 2021 4th Sunday of Easter “I am the good shepherd...and I lay down my life for the sheep…and they will heed my voice.” - John 10:14-16 When you pray, do you only ask Jesus for the things that you want? Do you ever ask Him what He wants from you? How do you listen for His response? Many times Jesus responds in “quiet whispers” that are not so obvious. So, take time every day, in silence, to actively listen for His voice.

Registration for Religious Education and Youth Group
Registrations for Religious Education (grades K-5) and Youth Ministry (grades 6-12) will begin on June 1st and close August 6th. Registration form will be available online or in the parish of-
fice. Registration for Sacramental preparation and RCIA (Rites for Christian Initiation of Adults, Youth or kids) will also be available for this time period. The classes will be in person. For any questions, please email Karen da Costa ([email protected]) grades K-

Gabriel Project Report Dear Holy Cross Ladies: Do you hear St. Gabriel calling you to service? The Gabriel Project, needs Angels to help a mom through what can be very difficult time. But we also have a way for you to get involved in a way that requires almost no time and very little space. If you can store a small plastic bin filled with baby items, give me a call. I will stock the bin with items and bring it to your home with an inventory sheet. When one of our moms needs something, I will call you and pick it up. It may seem like a small thing, but believe me, it would be a big help. Think about it. Pray about it. Then give me a call at 469-971-4490. I look forward to hearing from you. Knights of Columbus Golf League. started on April 6, 2021 at 5:00 at Stewarts Peninsula Golf Course, at 100 Cotton Springs, in The Colony, Texas, and will conti-nue every Tuesday at 5:00 pm for 14 weeks. Pro-ceeds from the league will support our Scholarship Program for High School Students. The fee will be $24.00 which includes a $5.00 fee going to the scho-larship fund. La liga de Golf de los Caballeros de Colon Dio comienzo el 6 de abril de 2021 a las 5:00 En Stewarts Peninsula Golf Course. 100 Cotton Springs, In The Colony, Texas, y continuará todos los martes a las 5:00 pm durante 14 semanas.
