Your prayers and presence are invited. Please join us for this very special occasion as we joyfully gather to witness and participate in Deacon Elizabeth’s ordination to the priesthood. There will be a reception after the service. On Sat., Oct. 6 at 9 AM, Good Sam women will go for A Walk in the Woods at Ijams Nature Center. All women are invited-bring a friend! The DOK is sponsoring this event and will be collecting items to donate to Young Williams Animal Shelter. You may bring your donations to the blessing or drop them in the donation basket in Henslee Hall beginning today. See the insert in your bulletin for details. Join the Stewardship Team on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 5:30 – 7:30 PM for an evening of fellowship and conversation. There will be hearty hors d’oeuvres and beverages served from 5:30 – 6:30 and at 6:30 we will break into small groups to discuss the book One Simple Act: Discovering the Power of Generosity by Debbie Macomber. (Copies of the book can be found in Henslee Hall.) We encourage everyone to join us on October 17th even if you have not had a chance to read the book. Childcare will be provided. Please signup in Henslee Hall so we can get a headcount. Details can be found in the October LOGOS. Beginning Sunday, Oct. 21 at 9:45 AM, we will start a new Adult Christian Formation class in Henslee Hall. We’ll spend 7 weeks exploring the ways we practice our faith. Two millennia of Christianity have fostered and fine-tuned these practices that have a tried and true history of working to bring people closer to (continued) God. We welcome all guests to Good Samaritan. Please take a moment to fill out the pew card and place it in the offering plate or give it to an usher. Following the service, please join us for Coffee Hour in Henslee Hall and pick up a newcomer’s information packet.

We have assisted listening devices for those who have trouble hearing during the service. Please look for them in the narthex or ask one of the ushers for assistance. We also have large print copies of the Book of Common Prayer for those who need them.

Childcare is available at 8:30 am & 11:00 am. Children are welcome to attend the church service; activity packs are available. Out of respect to fellow worshippers, please take restless children to the chapel in the back of the church. Most of the service can be heard in the chapel area.

NURSERY (age 2 and under) is provided in the church nursery for both the early and late service. Children may be picked up for communion or immediately after the service.

PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN CHAPEL (3 years - kindergarten) begins downstairs at 9:45 am. Children will be brought up to their families at communion time.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH (grades 1 - 4) Children begin worship with their parents and then follow the cross out for Children's Church after the Gospel reading. Children will return at the offertory to join their families for communion.
