    According to parapsychologists, the term paranormal describes,any phenomenon ha !n one o" mo"e "e#pe$# e%$eehe '!m!# o( )ha !# &eeme& phy#!$a''y po##!*'e a$$o"&!n+o $,""en #$!en!-$ a##,mp!on#. However, by conventional theory of scienceparanormal phenomenon is still beyond and unexplained.

tories relating to paranormal phenomena are found in popularculture and fol!lore, but the scienti"c community, contendsthat scienti"c evidence does not support paranormal beliefs.Paranormal phenomena are those, which, if genuine, wouldviolate basic limiting principles ofscience and paranormal belief is belief in paranormalphenomena.

    STATEM EN T O F

PROBLEMApproaching the paranormal from a research perspective is oftendi%cult because of the lac! of acceptance of the physical reality ofmost of the supposed phenomena. #y de"nition, the paranormaldoes not conform to conventional expectations of the natural.

#efore this, there is no certain research for us to refer regardingthe belief in paranormal activity among university students. &hisis maybe due to the notion that paranormal activity is not animportant matter to research. 'omparing the accepted wisdomwith the western world, which prioriti(es in matters as such, weshould be more focusing on matters that involve high level of

thoughts and cognitive thin!ing.$t is scienti"cally proven that a person who believes in suchmatter thin! di)erently than others who doesn*t. &herefore, ourresearch intends to "nd the level of beliefs in the paranormalactivity and the reason behind it among +& studentsregardless of whether the phenomena are considered to

    ob-ectively exist.
