Compression: Vertical
Compression Test System Pounds Force (lbf) Weights and a load spreader [H‐HV)/V] x Wt x M
Method Used: Weights and a Load Spreader Calculation: H = max stack height Wt = weight of test item (lbs) = 225 M = Compensating Factor = 3.0 V = vertical dimension of packaged‐product when placed in its appropriate orientation (in)
Packaged‐Product Dimensions: L 78.5” x W 31” x H 11.5”
Calculation: [(144‐11.5)/11.5] x 172 x 3 = 5945 lbs. Actual Test Load = 5000 lbs. Duration: 1 Hour ISTA Notes: If the result of the above calculation is greater than 5000 lbs., use 5000 lbs. as the total compression test weight. If max stack height is printed on packaged product then use that as “H” If max stack height is not indicated on the packaged‐product then use 144 in

Clamp Testing Configuration and Forces
Test Sample Weight: 172 lbs. Test Sample Dimensions: L 78.5” x W 31” x H 11.5” Clamp Test Force = 4 x 172 = 688 lbf
ISTA Notes: The minimum required clamp test force is 200 lbf (1800 N) If calculated value is 200 lbf (1800 N) or below, THEN use 200 lbf (1800 N) as clamping test force The maximum required clamp test force is 2000 lbf (8900 N) If calculated value is 2000 lbf (8900 N) or above, THEN use 2000 lbf (8900 N) as clamping test force
If distance between Faces 2 and 4 is less than 24 in (610 mm) OR greater than 75 in (1905 mm) do not test If distance between Faces 5 and 6 is less than 24 in (610 mm) OR greater than 75 in (1905 mm) do not test Sequence Number

Carton was subjected to random vibration for the following times and orientaions.
Face 3 Down Calculation: (108‐11.5) x 78.5 x 31 x .0035 = 822 lbs. Face 4 Down Calculation: (108‐31) x 78.5 x 11.5 x .0035 = 243 lbs. Face 6 Down Calculation: (108‐78.5) x 31 x 11.5 x .0035 = 35 lbs.
Dynamic top loads calculated based on following formula:
ISTA Notes: If the vertical dimension of the packaged‐product is 72” (1.8 m) or greater, do not use the Top Load apparatus during the vibration testing.
The maximum top load to be used is 600 lbs.

Conclusions and Recommendations
Pass Fail One NordicTrack T 6.5S treadmill package was tested according to ISTA 6‐AMAZON.COM‐SIOC Type E ‐ LTL Delivery of Individual Packaged‐Products 100 lb. (43 kg) or Greater There was no visible damage to any product component. There was a small scratch at the end of the metal arm piece. Compadre Labs did not feel that the cosmetic scratch was significant enough damage to fail the test. The external carton container contained the product and remained intact throughout all test blocks. The sample passed the testing based on the Customer Acceptance Criteria.
