PPacifica offers the most spectacular townhomes and

luxury condominium residences Nanaimo has ever seen.

icture a tall cool tower of gleaming aqua-blue glass, framed by cool ivory and layered with glimpses of vibrant colour from terraces and private gardens. Architect Tom Bell, of Gomberoff, Bell Lyon Architects, Vancouver, designed

Pacifica to be part of the seascape; it belongs on the waterfront, and rises from the aqua sea below.

The townhomes, two-level beauties facing the ocean at seawall level, offer an intense experience of living by the sea. Private decks overlook the stunning view. The condominium residences, with terraces and glass from the floors to ceilings, offer a panoramic view from sunrise to sunset.

A beautifully landscaped courtyard and a private park at sea level are available for the exclusive use of all Pacifica residents.

Nanaimo - Like Never Before

NWhen you live at Pacifica, you barely need a car!

anaimo, the Harbour City, is a city reborn. Old enough to have a history, smart enough to hold onto it, bold enough to mix the stately brick, stone and timber of heritage with eye-popping art deco, for a revitalized, dynamic

downtown.

As the climate in this sheltered port city is warmer and sunnier than most places in Canada, you may want to walk to everywhere. Everything is within reach, from lowdown blues and jazz to high fashion. The specialty shops, restaurants and grand period architecture of the Old City Quarter are within walking distance. So is the Arts District, with its splurge of art galleries, bookstores, sidewalk cafes, clubs and street festivals.

The always-percolating Port Theatre offers plays and performances 270 days a year. All this, and a supermarket just down the street from you. The slow-dancing pleasures of life in Nanaimo are coupled with a remarkably efficient transportation network. Go where you want - it’s quick and easy - by air taxi, ferry or by car.

Floatplanes make Vancouver only 20 minutes away, while the terminal for car ferry service is only five minutes away. Horseshoe Bay is about 95 minutes away by ferry, as is Victoria by car. The world famous surf of Long Beach? Less than two hours away!

hat does it take to create a masterpiece? The experience, creativity and technical know-how of three wise men who make up The Cape Group: Ralph Schwartzman, Bill Wright and Edward Calb. Together, the

engineer/builder, the real estate whiz and the developer who began his professional life as an architect and city planner, saw the potential for a spectacular glass tower, with views that stretched to infinity.

The three men have over 100 years of collective wisdom and experience in the business of building and development, yet they look at the world with fresh, adventurous eyes. Their talents are, in Edward’s words: Integrated and diversified - combining their different strengths to tackle the most challenging projects.

Ralph, the engineer who founded Cape Construction, has been in the contracting business for more than 40 years. Edward, the former architect, developed an award-winning

country club community in Newmarket, Ontario of 1,000 homes, shopping centres and a championship 18-hole golf course. Bill has worked on everything from residences and hotels to casinos. Together the three wise men have created a new jewel on this city’s harbourfront.
