Record Linkage Assign unique person identifiers called
Protected Identification Keys (PIKs) and address identifiers to administrative records (AR) as well as census data Person identifiers are assigned using information
such as SSN, name, date of birth, address Unique identifiers facilitate unduplication and
linkage of records

Research Example - 2010 Census Match Study
Objective – compare AR to the 2010 Census to assess the quality and coverage of AR
Findings - AR match to 92.6 percent of addresses and 88.2 percent of people in the 2010 Census
