Outlook Calendar - 2007
CREATING ALL DAY EVENTS OR
TASKS
Creating an All Day Event is useful for a Conference, someone’s birthday , or anniversary.
You create an appointment, but then you click the box “All day event”. Then click “Save and Close”.
All day events will show up at the top of your calendar.
The reason you want to create all day events is because it allows you to book other appointments throughout that day.
Easiest way to create a new task is to go up to the arrow next to the “New” button and then click on “Task”
OR if you can remember, click and hold the buttons down in this order - “CTRL”, then “SHIFT”, then “K”
Again this is much like an appointment. It just doesn’t have to get done at a certain time. This time you choose a start date (the due date will default to that same day – change it if you like.)
You can add a reminder so it pops up on your screen.
Click “Save and Close” and you have your first task in your calendar.
Tasks will show up on the bottom of your calendar on the due date.
Click on the Tasks bar to see a list of your current and future tasks.
This is a screen shot of your Outlook screen when you click Tasks button.
