PETE’S STORY I am about innovation and creation that elevate the human experience to delight, excite, and engage. It runs in my blood. This resulted in developing numerous hardware, software and firmware products in test and measurement, consumer goods, payment transactions, bio-medical, bio-science, and digital categories for companies such as Fluke, Hewlett Packard, Nike, and VeriFone – to name a few.

My career has spanned the dawn of personal computers, the internet, virtual reality, software apps, genetic advancements, and neuroscience brain research. I'm keenly interested in what makes people tick, how it's tied to emotion, and what creates that elevated experience between a person and a product. I hold numerous design and trade-secret patents for innovative product development. These patents expressed the result of something new and different for the user that wasn't available before.

In 2012, I founded inViral, a business incubator to commercialize innovative megatrend technologies in the areas of digital, neurosciece, software apps, and artificial intelligence – getting to market with numerous products some of which failed and some highly successful. Every creation, a lesson in connecting technology to humans.

My mentor is Steve Jobs and his viewpoint expressed in the 1985 interview with Playboy...”At Apple...we attract a different type of person. Someone who really wants to get in a little over his head and make a little dent in the universe. We are aware that we are doing something significant.”

Today, we are at a new dawn – the re-invention of the internet. A new opportunity. A new technology with bots and artificial intelligence. However; it's not about that. It's about elevating the human experience through this technology. That's why we're creating Relationship Experience Technology (R.E.T.) and Conversational User Interface (CUI) standards with chatbots as a way to create human-like conversations for help, support, companionship. It's our way of putting a little dent in the universe.

CHATBOT MYTHS Chatbots are a Fad. TRUTH: There's been a lot of hype around bots with a chat interface as the final solution to almost anything. While artificial intelligence is still a ways off, bots are here and will integrate themselves into our lives like smart phones and the internet. Websites will become bot-sites. Phone apps become chat-apps. Google will use a personal assistant bot. Computer operating systems will be bot OS's.

Most Bots Use Artificial Intelligence. TRUTH: most bots do not use AI and a lot of them never will. The best chatbot is one that is designed for a specific function like leads, customer service, sales, or as stand-alone products.

Chatbots Won't Save 'Real' Money in Customer Service. TRUTH: According to industry research about 23% of questions handled by reps are repeat questions. U.S. industry average compensation (including benefits) for a Customer Service Representative is $43,569. For a call center size of 4 or more, a single annual salary could be saved. Typical payback investing in an talking animated chatbot that provides 24/7 service is less than 4 months. After that, it's money to the bottom line.

Chatbots Lack a Personalized Human Touch. TRUTH: There's a common mis-conception that chatbots are nothing more than text messaging. Nothing can be further from the truth. We will create an interactive chatbot experience using animated characters and conversational mapping that speaks about your brand.

Phase 1: Discovery Phase In this phase, we uncover the conversational personality of your company, your products, lifetime value of your customer, and the related methods of marketing and advertising you are currently conducting to build your business. Phase 2: Design Phase We work to generate your animated characters that represent your brand along with the conversational scripts the meet CUI standards for the chatbot interacting with your customers. INVESTMENT

Chatbot Animation Development Chatbot Animation Development: $1000 to $2500 depending upon complexity of character and whether the animated chatbot is talking. Development covers: character design, character storyboarding, scriptwriting, professional voice acting, animation development and all approvals by the client.

Chatbot Development Chatbot Development (per chatbot): $3,000 to $10,000 depending upon complexity, size of bot, data integrations, animation integrations, and content creation to support chatbot development. Discounts can apply for multiple chatbots in development under contract. Chatbot Management (per chatbot): $300 to $1000 per month which includes all hosting, tech support, lead generation costs, analytics support, new promotional and conversation sequences.
