The Country Place Retreat and conference Center, located at the foothills of the Pocono

Mountains, has been a sacred place for hundreds of families and guests for over 150 years.

Ancient legend has it that the area surround The Country Place – Over 400 acres of woodlands

and meadows, has been blessed by Native People. The original farmhouse, built in 1850, has

been renovated to combine the best of old-world charm and modern convenience to create an

ideal living and learning environment in a relaxed atmosphere.

The quiet, unique, private retreat environment of The Country Place provides the perfect setting

for workshops, corporate meetings, family reunions and weddings. The Country Place

specializes in healthy gourmet cuisine and, whenever possible, provides organic fruits and

vegetables (many from our own garden), as well as fresh-baked, whole-grain breads and health-

respecting desserts. All Menus are personally designed by our Executive Chef. Enjoy your meals

in our spacious and bright sunroom.
