Tafaria is a 29 room lodge built on a hill overlooking the Aberdare Ranges, Laikipia plains and Mt. Kenya; halfway between Nyeri and Nyahururu.

Completed in 2012 AD, this unique & enchanting lodge has been conceived to excite two states of mind; that of adventure simulated by the remote

location within reach of rich Kenyan wildlife and medieval architectural style that runs from the Castle to the similarly themed cottages.

The Castle houses the Lord’s room which is ideal for honeymooners or those looking for extra luxury. It overlook the Castle’s four residential quarters.

The damsels quarters are optimally sized, the Knights’ quarters are perfect if you would like that extra space or the Vikings’ quarters if you fancy being tented.

If you have a family or prefer even more space, the Lost Knights’ quarters or the Old House (a 3 bedroom cottage) provides that spacious accommodation.

While at Tafaria with family and friends, you can enjoy swimming in our leisure pool,

horse riding, delight in a picnic at the Tafaria Nano Conservancy, see wildlife via a

game drive to the Aberdare or Solio Ranch, savor a drink at our Moat bar or

go fishing as the kids have fun at the Kid’s kingdom.

At night after a fun filled day, have supper at the scenic Bailey restaurant before you retreat to our

big screen cinema or Disco or light a bonfire in celebration.

We offer both day and residential conference facilities on full board basis. These include a choice of indoor meeting room or a marquee on our gently manicured grounds.
