SNAKERIVERBIRDSOFPREYNATURALAREA:OnI-84,takeexit44southonHighway69.TravelsouthfromKunaacrossIndianCreektoKunaWay.TurnsouthonSwanFallsRd.thatleadstotheSnakeRiverBirdsofPreyNaturalAreaestablishedin
BRUNEAUDUNES:TakeHighway51southfromMountainHome.OnceyoucrosstheSnakeRiverBridge,beforearrivinginBruneau,youwillseesignsfortheDunesontheleftonthehighway.TurnleftontoHighway78.TheDunesareaboutamiledownontheright.ThisisaStateParkwithadmissionfee.
BRUNEAUCANYONOVERLOOK:TakeHighway51southfromMountainHome.PriortocrossingthesmallbridgeinBruneautakealeftontheroadthatismarkedBruneauCanyonOverlook.Thefirst5milesofthisroadispavedandafterthatyouwillbeonagravelroad.Afterabout15miles,youwillcometoaVintheroad,staytotheright(donotturntowardSailorCreekAirForceRange).Thecanyonoverlookisthenextturnoffontherightabout3milesahead.
ANDERSONRANCHRECREATIONAREA:TakeHighway20northoutofMountainHometoreachthisbeautifulyear-roundrecreationarea.Turnoffatmilepost127toreachtheupperendofthereservoir,about10milesin.Fromthereservoir,youcandrivetoPine,FeathervillealongtheSouthForkoftheBoiseRiver;visittheghosttownsofRockyBar,Atlanta,BaumgartnerortravelbackaroundthereservoirtoFallCreekandthedam.Year-roundaccessisavailabletoPineandFeatherville.TotraveltotheFallCreekareaturnoffatmilepost116whichprovidesaccesstotheSouthForkoftheBoiseRiver,theTrinityMountainareaandPrairie.Theroadsturntodirtoncepassedthedamandareingoodcondition.
SILVERCITY:TaketheturntoGrandViewandStrikeDamoffoftheAirbaseRd.AtGrandView,turnwestontoHighway78,therewillbeasignontheleftforSilverCity,fivemilespriortoreachingMurphy.Followthisroad(7milespaved/16milesdirt)toSilverCity.SilverCityisthequeenofIdahoghosttowns;mustviewsaretheOldSchoolhouseMuseum,HotelandGraveyard…
