Our Heritage:

Oriental International General Trading & Construction Co. is a group which started out as a restaurant. We concentrated our activities on delivering the very best fine dine and catering service. Eventually, Oriental expanded from its core food business to a

confectionaries, catering, mineral, constructions, contracting,

Trading

OIGIC provides the best trading service in the whole of Kuwait. Our one of a

kind trading structure ensures our customers get the very best value at an

affordable rate. OIGC Trading Division is part of a business network between

Middle East Countries and mining units of South India.

We are well known around the world as one of the leading importer, exporter,

trader, wholesaler cum supplier of Silicon Carbide, Fused Alumina, Rutile,

TiO2, Zircon, menite, Garnet Abrasive and Copper Slag. OIGC has consistently

met the requirements of its clients across different industries, ensuring they get

the best quality in every traded item. We owe our consistency to our good

sourcing ability.

Our main trading product is the garmet abrasive. Our garnet abrasive is mined

from the South Coast of India and processed with the most efficient technology

to eliminate the dust and Chloride. We also make use of standardized sieve to

divide particles into the following sizes:

1. 20-40 mesh - used for blasting & Water filtration

2. 30-60 mesh- used as abrasive for blasting purpose

3. 80 mesh- used for water jet operations

4. 120 mesh- used for blasting on a glass surface.

We also mine Ilmenite which is the most important ore of titanium. Our

ilmenite is mined from the South coast of India and is segregated from various

other minerals using magnetic separation. It has rich content of TiO2, varying

between 48%- 56%. It is then loaded in loose inside the container and exported.

Our Ilmenite provides a very high quality of titanium dioxide, which is used in

paints, fabrics, plastics, paper, sunscreen, food and cosmetics. We ship

significant volume of ilmenite to China and other parts of the world.

We started out in 1993 with our flagship restaurant located in the heart of

Kuwait City. As our popularity continued to grow, we decided it was time for

an expansion. In 2006 we opened our Salmiya restaurant located off Hamad Al-

Play School

Oriental runs a top-notch play school known as Salmiya Playschool, which ensures children have a fun-

The Salmiya Playschool is a registered English Medium School recognized by the Ministry of Labour

and Social Affairs – Kuwait. It was established in the year 2000. Since then it has continued to improve
