• Grower Member – Voting rights for 1.• A person/persons actually involved in the production of lavender plants for commercial usage. This includes growers,
propagators, and distillers and those who derive their living from these activities within the United States. (Only US citizens eligible to run for the USLGA board.)
• Associate Member– Voting rights for 1.• A person/persons who contribute to and benefit from the promotion and expansion of the lavender industry in the United
States (Academia, manufacturers, product producers), or a person/persons including non-resident in the United States, or foreign national interested in the U.S. lavender industry for the promotion and education of the genus lavandula. This includes all lavender enthusiasts not meeting the Grower Member category. (Only US citizens eligible to run for USLGA board. Foreign nationals may be appointed to committees or sub-committees .)
• Affiliate Member – 1 Member. Nil voting rights. • This category includes commercial wholesalers and retailers of equipage and associated items and services to the lavender
trade. (May be appointed to serve on committees or sub-committees.)• Board composition: Seven total of which four must be a Grower member. The remaining three positions can be filled by
either Grower members or Associate members. Affiliate members are not eligible for holding office within the organization. (Board position numbers may increase in the future through compelling need.)
• Charter membership can only be obtained by joining US Lavender Growers Association within the first six months of open enrollment. This title is only for Grower or Associate members and would entitle them to use this terminology in their advertising materials including their websites. It would only be effective as long as the member remains in good standing with paid in full dues and participate in exercising their voting rights.
