    Difference Between Chemical and Organic Farming

    Chemical farming is thecultivation and production ofcrops using inorganic inputs.

    Continuous use of chemicalfertilizers leads to changes in the

    pH of the soil. The soil becomeseither acidic, too salty or toxicoften kills plants.

    Soil particles in the absence ofbinding agents of chemicallymanaged farms lead to erosion.The steady loss of fertile topsoilultimately leads to barren landunfit for farming.

    Organic farming is the cultivationand production of crops using

    biodegradable organic inputs.

    crop resulting to an erratic yield.

    available and very easy to apply.

    When nutrients are available ina balanced way during the entirecrop cycle, the plant will producesatisfactory yields andquality according to itsgenetic potential.

    An organic product is superiorin nutritive quality andshelf life so commands better

    prices in the market.
