[Description]One, Ein, Un, Ichiban – which ever language you speak, the Orca Alpha is simply number one. The new generation Orca Alpha offers a wetsuit swim like you’ve never experienced before. The Alpha’s design has been refined and re-engineered in conjunction with the world’s best triathletes, including double Ironman champion Craig Alexander and ITU world champion Emma Moffatt, to provide even greater levels of performance.

Having introduced the open water swimming world to the superior buoyancy of Aerodome, Orca has once again raised the bar with the new Exo-Cell Buoyancy System. Exo-Cell is an innovative new material that is more than 25% more buoyant than Aerodome – it is used in a system of key areas on the rear area of the wetsuit to help optimize the swimming position, without affecting stroke and kick power.

The Alpha retains the FreeStroke 3 system of Nano SCS-coated 1.5-2mm #40 Cell panels through the arm, shoulder, chest and back areas. These lightweight panels are ergonomically crafted to provide unrestricted range of motion - so much so many people say it doesn’t even feel like they’re wearing a wetsuit. Other new features for the Alpha include the comfortable low profile neck seal, designed to sit flat against the neck, limiting water entry and reducing the incidence of chafing. [Description]The Orca 3.8 uses the most advanced wetsuit technology available to ensure the optimum equilibrium for your swimming position.

The original 3.8 introduced the open water swimming world to the superior buoyancy of Aerodome – the new Orca 3.8 now raises the bar once again with the new Exo-Cell Buoyancy System. Exo-Cell is an innovative new material that is more than 25% more buoyant than Aerodome – it is used in carefully calculated positions on the front chest and rear areas of the 3.8. The System helps to raise your torso and legs in the water, optimizing the swimming position, which in turn improves swim performance.

Designed for those swimming endurance distances, or for swimmers who will benefit from an improved torso and leg position in the water, the flexibility of the 3.8 has also been enhanced with the introduction of 1.5mm-2mm #40 Cell neoprene panels on the arm and underarm areas. The high stretch inner lining allows for excellent range of motion, comfort and fast transitions, while the Exo-Cell panels are lined with a waterproof smoothskin neoprene to prevent water entry.

The 3.8 also utilizes the HydroLift Buoyancy Cells – cells of foam positioned on the upper forearm sleeve area – to encourage a better arm position in the catch phase of the stroke, increasing power and reducing fatigue.

For people serious about open water swimming who are looking for a step up from an entry level wetsuit, the new generation Sonar offers more technology than ever before.

The Sonar has been re-engineered to include panels of Orca’s Aerodome neoprene – 4mm panels that contain hundreds of air cavities that provide over 30% more buoyancy than a standard equivalent neoprene. The Aerodome has been positioned in the small of the back and back calf area to help lift the torso and legs in the water. The 100% PBT Polyester/Polyester blend resists the effects of chlorine and warm water, while it has high elasticity, retains its shape, is water repellent and prevents colour fading, making it perfect for use in swim bag essentials. DRI-LITE Run/fitness-Core Orca DriLite™ is constructed of a micro-fibre polyester, making this one of the most technically advanced garment fabrics on the market. DriLite™ uses two different deniers of fibre in its construction, which enhances directional wicking whereby finer fibres on the outer surface effectively pull moisture away from the inner surface of slightly denser fibres, resulting in excellent moisture management and additional benefits of lightness and next-to-skin comfort. Breathable and fast drying, DriLite™ is a durable anti-static fabric, perfect for training and competition.

DRI-SHELL Run/fitness-Core Using the latest generation of woven fabrics, Orca DriShell uses technically advanced hollow core polyester yarn. DriShell is lightweight and dries more quickly than other fabrics and is anti-static, making it incredibly comfortable.

DYNAMIC-Ag Run/fitness-Perform

Dynamic-Ag blends the comfort and wicking characteristics of polyester with silver yarn, which naturally regulates your body temperature, is anti-bacterial and anti-static. The fabric is extremely lightweight, thanks to the pique knitted, high filament polyester yarn, making it ideal for multi-activity garments. The silver yarn is visible on the back face of the fabric and its benefits are retained over the life time of the garment.

HEX-VAPOUR Run/fitness-Perform

Orca’s new Hex-Vapour fabric is a 100% Polyester mesh that uses a hexagonal honeycomb construction to provide increased breathability in key areas of Orca’s garments. The back face of the fabric is especially soft next to skin, while the fabric is moisture wicking.

HYDROSKN Triathlon-RS1 Orca’s innovative new performance polymer composite fabric works to optimise the swimming position, while the PU coating generates an incredibly low drag coefficient for speed through the water in non-wetsuit races.

KILLASKN Triathlon-RS1 When Orca first introduced KillaSkn™ it created a following around the world with triathletes who recognised the benefits the unique 40 gauge fabric brings to competition. Orca has now refined KillaSkn™ so that the knitted fabric is more densely woven, lighter and more water repellent than other triathlon fabrics. The infused water repellent treatment creates less drag, increasing speed through the water and reducing friction on the bike and run. KillaSkn™ is ultra thin and highly breathable, acting as a super fast second skin for triathletes.

Orca’s compression fabric uses a 70 denier, circular knit construction to provide optimum levels of muscle support and performance. Panels of Killaskn Kompress™ are shaped to provide graduated compression, increasing blood circulation and oxygenation and encouraging more rapid muscle recovery. Killaskn Kompress™ is antibacterial, has UPF50+ protection and is ideal for use in next-skin-fabrics used for high energy activities, or pre and post exercise.

KINETIC Run/fitness-Perform

This 86% Polyester 14% Spandex fabric is lightweight and is an ideal multi-purpose fabric for the multi-activity garments. Kinetic has excellent moisture wicking qualities and is used in a variety of Orca garments where performance and comfort are important. The Spandex gives stretch and freedom of movement.

PERFORM KILLASKN KOMPRESS

Killa Kompression Perform Killaskn Kompress is Orca’s premium compression fabric, with a higher Spandex content with high stretch recovery that is scientifically proven to provide optimum levels of active and graduated compression. This fabric is used in panels to assist pre and post activity rest and recovery by circulating blood flow back towards the heart from the lower legs, and to support major muscle groups and joints.

Panels of the new Tri-Enduro tricot mesh fabric are used across the back of garments for higher levels of breathability and moisture wicking. The high spandex content provides better levels of stretch recovery, while the nylon gives the mesh increased strength and a smoother hand feel.

TRI SKN Triathlon-RS1 A five-step manufacturing process, involving two layers of water resistant silmy silicone coating, fused elastane and polyester yarn is used to create TriSkn™ – one of the most water-resistant performance fabrics in the world. Fabric construction allows sweat particles to be transported away from the body, providing the wearer with excellent moisture management. In TriSkn™ athletes swim faster with less drag in the water, while remaining dry and cool on the bike and run.
