PART 1 : LOVING YOUR CHILD

Give your child love and affectionlittle encouragement, appreciation, approval or even a smile can go a long way to boost their confidence and well-being of your children

Listen to them (needs and wants)create an atmosphere in which your children can come to you with a problem, iether big or small

Make time for your children

Praise themmake a habit of praising your children at least three times.

PART 2 : being a good displinarian

Enforce reasonable rules Your child should love you more than he fears your rules

Control your temper as much as you canAvoid harsh forms of punishment, ridiculous stringent punishments for minor infractions, or anything that physically hurting your child.

Be consistentIt's important to enforce the same rules all the time, and to resist your child's attempts to manipulate you into making exceptions.

Be united front with your spouseit's important that your children think of you as a united front as two people who will both say "yes" or "no" to the same thingsthey will have to learn to think for themselves sometime

Teach your children to be independentTeach them right from wrong when they are younglet your children figure things out for themselves

Be a good role model You don't have to be a perfect person, but you should strive to do as you want your children to do

Respect your childs privacyRespect their privacy as you would want them to respect yoursExample : if you teach your child that your room is out of boundary to them, respect the same with their room

Allow your kids to experience life for themselvesthey must learn how to live with the consequences from the choices they make

Dont place unreasonable expectations on your child

We never know the love of a parent till we become parents ourselves.

conclusion

For my conclusion , I strongly believe that in order to become a good parent, a parent should have having great love and caring for his children, being a good model, and having a good method of educating. These three main qualities.Which are however, there are many other qualities that a good parent should have such as patience, sensitiveness, good cooking, etc. Before I end my speech , I hope that all of you can be a good parent.Thank you .
