Plate 1: Sample No. ST 17Fossiliferous packstone consists mainly offossils of 0.05 1.6mm in size (F), volcanicfragments (V) and micrite aggregates thatare stained by limonite and ilmenite (darkishbrown). Fossil’s composition is mainlymollusks, bivalve, forams, and lesser othersin whichtheir chambers/walls are occluded mostly bysecondary calcite (light pinkish).

Plate 2: Sample No. ST 17Fossiliferous packstone is similar to Plate 1,

but with open nicol to observe the presenceminor of microfracture pores of 0.01 0.02mm

wide and more than 2.0mm long (blue) iscreated possibly due to the thin section

preparation?
