I hope you’re hanging in there with the reading plan. If not, just jump back in somewhere. The goal is not just completion. The goal is to spend quality time with God in His Word. You’re going to notice that the pace is going to pick up a little for the next few weeks. We spent January in Genesis and Feb-ruary in Exodus. Now the plan will start touching on more of the highlights from various books. So don’t be alarmed if you skip over large chunks of Scripture. Again, the purpose of our study is not to read the entire Bible, but to read strategic passages in order to gain a foundational understanding of God’s Word. If you are on track with us, we are working through Week 10 in the reading plan. For the first two days, you will be reading from Leviticus. The book of Leviticus is all about worship. It was written to the Levitical priests to give them instructions about how to conduct worship. There are so many verses about the difference between being clean and unclean, and the reason they are there is to inform us on how unclean people can stand before a holy (clean) God. Thankfully, as New Testament believers, God made a way for us to be clean without going through all of these ceremonial rituals. Howev-er, the principle still stands that we need to be “clean” before we can ap-proach God. We become clean when God cleanses us through the blood of Christ. For the last three days in the reading plan, you will be reading from Num-bers. These passages will cover the scouts entering the Promised Land, only to return with a negative report. Their disobedience led to forty years of won-dering in the Wilderness instead of enjoying the bounty of God’s Promised Land. This is a great passage that challenges the depth of our faith in God. This upcoming Sunday, in the morning service, I’ll return to the Week 9 readings and cover one of my favorite passages in Leviticus. We will be studying the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 16. In the evening service, I’ll get back on track with the Week 10 readings and we’ll study the passage I mentioned above regarding the scout’s report and the consequences of their disobedience. I hope you’ll make plans to join us this Sunday. Keep going in the reading plan and have a blessed week! In Christ, Jason

A Message from Carter’s Corner This week in the life of our youth, we will be going to the Northeast BSU Revival on Wednesday night! This should be an exciting time in Seth Pounds Auditorium, as we praise and worship God. Also, the BSU will have Seth kirk speak-ing. Our youth are excited about this time during this week to learn more about God and His Word. We are also very excited since this upcoming Sunday we will have the Ordinance of Baptism for two of our students, Alea Baker and Maddie Grantham. We are proud of these young ladies and their decisions to follow Christ. We ask that you pray for this upcoming revival that will be held on the NEMCC campus. We ask, too, that you pray for God to use this week to transform lives so that we may go out and serve others just as Jesus did. We also ask that you pray for Alea and Maddie and their new walk with Christ. We ask that you encourage them and life them up each time you see them and let them know that they are loved. Finally, we ask that you pray for all of our students that they would find strength, rest, and love during this time in the semester. We thank you for your prayers, contin-ued support, and encouragement! ▪Act Justly ▪Love Mercy ▪Walk Humbly
