Results of PBS

Positive school climate

Consistent expectations and consequences

Response to Instruction(RtI)

Universal screening three times per year (fall, winter, spring) in reading, math, writing, and behavior

Tiered supports increasing in intensity for students demonstrating need

Frequent progress monitoring for students receiving supplemental supports

Parents are involved from the beginning in the problem-solving process

What it means to you… If your child is performing well, he or she will be

screened three times per year to ensure progress is maintained

If concerns arise, you will be invited to a meeting with the classroom teacher to develop a plan to help your child succeed If this occurs, you will receive frequent updates regarding

your child’s progress in response to this plan and may be invited to future meetings

You will play a critical role in the problem-solving process to ensure the success of your child
