Choosing what you want to study at university, and where, is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make. You need to make sure you get plenty of information to make an informed decision about your future, which is where Open Days come in.

Open Days are your best chance to meet students and lecturers, find out more about your subject choices and get a feel for the University where you may spend the next few years of your life. Each of

our 2015 Open Days will be packed full of activities designed to make sure you leave with a clear picture of the subject you will be studying, and why you should do your degree at Leeds Trinity University!

This handy guide will help you plan your day with us so that you can make sure that you have the time to see everything we have to offer.

For many of you, your journey to higher education begins here. You have some important decisions ahead of you and coming to one of our Open Days is an excellent step in the right direction. I hope that by visiting us you will discover, as all our past and current students did before you, that Leeds Trinity University is the best place to study for your degree. In the meantime, ask questions, talk to current students, take a campus tour but above all, enjoy. I look forward to welcoming you to our campus.

O N T H E D AY

Opening TimesThe Open Day, including the Information Fair and campus tours, will start at 10.00am and end at 3.00pm. The first Welcome Talk will begin at 10.10am in the Auditorium.

Car Parking Car parking on our campus is free during the Open Day. Once you arrive at our campus, you will be greeted by Student Ambassadors (wearing red t-shirts), who will direct you to available car park spaces.

RegistrationWhen you arrive on campus, the first thing you need to do is register. The main registration point is in the Sports Centre and there is also a registration point at the South Entrance and main Reception. Please bring your registration letter which was sent to you in the post and via email; you will need the QR code that is on the letter to register.

Student AmbassadorsOur Student Ambassadors are current students who help to make our Open Days run smoothly. They can help you with directions around our campus, take you on a campus tour and give you all the inside information on student life. If you want to hear what it’s really like to study at Leeds

Trinity, our Student Ambassadors are the perfect people to ask!

RefreshmentsOpen Days can work up quite an appetite, so there will be plenty of food available from our catering outlets including the Dining Room, The Lounge Bar and the Atrium Café. We’ll also be bringing you a taste of Leeds’ famous street food to our campus, with a variety of vendors to choose from. Free hot drinks will be available in the main Reception and our Dining Room.

Disability AccessShould you have any disabilities or need additional support on the day, please make your way to the main Reception where a Student Ambassador will advise you. Start your day with our Welcome Talk, which outlines the activities taking place throughout the day.

When and where? 10.10 - 10.25 and 10.40 - 10.55 in the Auditorium.

Don’t miss our Information Fair, where you’ll find everything you need to know about studying at Leeds Trinity University. It’s running throughout the Open Day, giving you the chance to find out what you need in between other activities - find out more on page 7.

When and where? All day in the Sports Centre.

For the best way to get a feel for our campus, join a Campus Tour given by one of our Student Ambassadors. Get more information on page 11.

When and where? Tours leave from the main Reception at regular intervals throughout the day. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.

When it comes to finding out what it’s really like to be a student at Leeds Trinity, we’re going to leave you in the safe hands of the people who know best - our students! Head to our Student Life Talk to hear about what they think about everything; from our accommodation and learning facilities, to student life in Leeds.

Academic Stands All of our academic departments will have stands at the Information Fair, with lecturers and students on-hand to give you advice about our range of undergraduate courses. If you’re looking to study a joint honours course, make sure you visit the stands for both courses to get all the information that you need. This is your chance to find out more about our new courses for 2016.

Accommodation En-suite? Catered? Shared kitchen? Chat with our team about our different types of accommodation and they’ll help you find the perfect hall of residence on campus to suit your needs.

AdmissionsOur Admissions team will be there for you throughout your UCAS journey, so say hello and get all your UCAS-related questions answered.

Campus Tours are the best way to get a feel for our amazing campus during your Open Day. Lasting approximately 45 minutes, they’ll give you a chance to see our:

• Dining Room and Lounge Bar

Campus Tours are run by our Student Ambassadors who know our campus better than anyone, so take advantage and ask lots of questions!

ParkingThere is free car parking available on our campus. When you arrive, please look out for our Student Ambassadors who will guide you to an available space.

Free Leeds Trinity Shuttle BusThe FREE Leeds Trinity University shuttle bus will be operating between Horsforth Train Station and our campus on a regular basis throughout the Open Day.

By busThere are frequent bus services between Leeds City Centre and Horsforth. West Yorkshire bus routes 97 and 731 travel from Leeds Central Bus Station and both stop outside Leeds Trinity University. Leeds Trinity University has great transport links - it’s easily accessible by road, there’s a railway station ten minutes’ walk from campus and plenty
