OPaL Shines at IPLEX 2019 in Bengaluru

OPaL participated in the 10th Edition of International Plastics Exposition 2019 (IPLEX),

organised from 23rd to 25th August 2019 at Bengaluru, Karnataka. IPLEX is South India's

largest plastic exposition which is rotationally held once a year in major centres of South India

i.e. Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi. The mega polymer event was inaugurated by

D. V. Sadananda Gowda, Hon'ble Union Minister of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Govt. of

India. Shri Avinash Verma, MD-OPaL, graced the occasion as one of the dignitaries and

shared the dais with other luminaries of the polymer industry in the inaugural ceremony of

IPLEX 2019.

In his address, Shri Gowda hailed polymer manufacturers of India for their incredible work

over the years. He opined that the polymer manufactures should drop the usage of the word

“Plastic” - as it carries negative connotations and it is generalised in the same league as the

harmful single-use plastic. He said it should be referred to as “Polymers” instead of plastic.

Later Shri Sadanand Gowda inaugurated OPaL's stall in the presence of Shri Avinash Verma,

MD-OPaL, Shri Makarand Dixit, Head-Marketing.

OPaL's stall was strategically placed to garner maximum footfall. The elegantly designed stall

perfectly showcased the premium product line of OPaL. Over the course of 3-days, a huge

number of people visited OPaL stall and had a productive discussion with the OPaL

delegation. IPLEX 2019 presented an excellent platform for OPaL to reach out to potential

customers in southern India to further its business. OPaL will keep participating in such

exhibitions in the future for expansion of its customer base while creating a sustainable brand

reputation.
