You source mostly Italian wines. How many wines do you stock? We have 200-250 di�erent bottles, mostly from small producers who use indigenous grape varieties. However, we continuously rotate them and add new ones, so people always have the chance to try new, interesting wines they haven’t had before!

And you also sell some nice natural wines too? Yes - we love natural wines! I personally have been drinking & selling natural wines since the 1990s, although back then at that time nobody called them ‘natural’… yet there were already some fantastic wine makers like Gravner or Radikon from Friuli who made great natural wines back then! Some of the wonderful producers we feature at themoment are Terpin, COS, Marco DeBartoli, Alessandro Viola and also Frank Cornelissen.

Do you feel wine is becoming more of interest to a younger audiences than say ten years ago? I feel that, regardless of age, wine drinkers have become much more aware of things nowadays - they inform themselves about the countries, grape varieties & the way wine is produced. Younger people don’t have the same amount of knowledge as an older audience as such, but they are much more open towards ‘new’ kinds of wine, like natural wine, as they aren’t �xed on the ‘classical taste’, but are eager to learn about new aspects of the wine world, which is brilliant! “For me, Berlin is...” a big vineyard planted with all the grapes of the world, which grow together, producing di�erent fruits with di�erent colours & tastes. It’s up to us to make a GREAT AND UNIQUE wine with that!

Oooh Berlin is us, Anika & Chris. We are only interested in putting our most favourite places in our guides... and that’swhat makes them so trusted by locals & different to mostother free maps you might see - this one is actually curated !

To create our guides, we start off with 200 + places we haveresearched in each area, before walking every single street tocheck them out & finding other cool new places to try on theway. We’re always searching for places that excite us !

We come from gastronomy & marketing backgrounds, so we really look at the small details in each place, as well as the passionate people behind them - rather than just what lookspretty on Instagram. We’re extremely picky, to ensure that youenjoy every single place we recommend. Thats important to us!

Whilst we can’t try every single restaurant in town, it’s notuncommon for us to share 3 lunches & test lots of coffeesin the afternoon before trying out dinner spots! This takesmonths, but we’re very particular about who we feature onour guides - so, do trust us, these places are really great !
