Bristol is One City
What is the problem we are trying to solve?
• Hundreds of unaligned strategies – most of which end in five years
or less
• No framework to easily bring together city leaders
How are we trying to solve this?
• A One City vision and plan to attempt to bring focus and prompt
debate
• Creation of a city leadership framework
Our hope
• Harnessing the potential of our collective power to benefit the city
Launch of the One City Plan

One City Leadership

Bristol is One City
Priorities for 2019
• Each year the City Office will prioritise facilitating our top three city-wide actions from that year’s list of 18. For 2019 these are:
1. Tackling and preventing gang violence and knife crime
2. Develop an affordable childcare and nurseries scheme within three local neighbourhoods
3. Ending Period Poverty in Bristol
• The other 15 actions and One City Approach projects will all still continue, but the top three are our ‘first among equals’ with strong collective focus.
• Next steps to agree with city / Mayor / CLB the city leads for the top three and to bring together relevant parties to set a work programme for the year
• To work with each of the boards to help facilitate the delivery of the other 15 priorities – first step to meet with relevant boards to agree ownership and agree next steps for each priority
