"ANGELS UNLIMITED" NEEDS YOU!

Throughout our seventeen seasons, West Valley Light Opera has beenconsidered a "family" organization and with each production we realize thisconcept is becoming actual fact as more and more families become involved.Your program will reveal that in this production we have not only husbandand wife teams contributing to the success of the musical, but other familycombinations as well-father & sons, mother and son, brothers, and husband, wife and daughter. We have seen several romances blossom and grow, resulting in marriage and future participants to our productions. The needfor additional participation in our organization to assure the continuation ofthe finest in community theater presentations has prompted the creation of asupport group entitled "Angels Unlimited." It will support all areas in whichWest Valley Light Opera needs assistance. Weneed men & women (families)to participate in this group and volunteer for office duties, sewing andmaintenance of costumes, painting & building of sets, cast hospitality, ushering, operation of the concession, publicity, etc., etc. If you or yourfamily are interested in helping in any capacity, please call 356-7340 (after6:00 PM) for additional information. You may choose a special on-goingproject or assistance on a particular production. In any case, "Anqels Un-limited" could be a wonderful "family" contribution to our community forYOUR family.

A HISTORY OF SUCCESSFUL GROWTH

The West Valley Light Opera Association began operations in 1964as a non-profit community theater corporation with the objective to promote culturalactivity in this area and to provide the opportunity for drama students andothers interested in taking part in live theatrical productions under theguidance of skilled directors. Our first season included "Unsinkable MollyBrown," "Stop The World" and "Oklahoma!" and during the past 16years haspresented such popular favorites as "Fiddler On The Roof," "I Do! I Do!,""Naughty Marietta," "George M," "Sound of Music," "South Pacific," "Camelot"and many others.

r:I

The organization is entirely self-supporting and receives no assistance, financialor otherwise, from any city, state or federal agency. The sturdyfoundation on which the Association is built is the active subscribershipwhich provides the initial funds for mounting a season of selected shows. The revenue derived from the sale of tickets to the public defrays the cost of. staging each show; expenses which include major items such as royaltiesand rehearsal materials, theater rental, orchestrations, costume and setmaterials, lighting and make-up supplies, programs, posters, tickets, boxoffice expenses, and work shop rental required for set construction andcostume storage.

J Many dedicated individuals and families participate in this Association andvolunteer their time and efforts over a period of months to prepare for andpresent a production. Besides the performers you see on stage and in the
