Hi Temperature 1000 deg C Ceramic Heaters
Hard Ceramic Heaters are used where extremely high process or part temperature are required. Hard
Ceramic Heaters are capable of temperatures of 1200C or 2200F. Constructed out of a hard ceramic shell
the heater have a Kanthal or Nichrome wire that is first coiled and then placed in a groove. After this iscured and covered with a high temperature cement that prevents the wire from oxidizing.
Hard Ceramic Heatersare available in circular or flat sections, and can be designed in a variety of voltagesand watt densities. To form a circular heater they can be supplied in 1 /2 Rounds, 1 /4 Rounds, 6th roundsor 8th rounds. Flat plate heaters are available in various thickness'.

Due to the variable power density of Self-Regulating cable, the currentrequired at start up is greater than the running current. The start up currentfor Self-Regulating cable is drawn for longer than typical inrush current.Because of this, special consideration must be given to circuit breakerselection. Please see the Circuit Breaker vs. Heating Cable LengthSelection Guide for proper circuit breaker selection.

The FBA modelhas holes drilled in its face in order to enable forced air to flow through the heater. The
airflow's purpose is either to protect sensitive material or components from being damaged by infrared
heating, improve the drying process by gently sweeping moisture away, or provide an infrared/convectionheating combination. As an extension of the F-Series heater, the FBA model is manufactured with either
1/8" (3.2 mm) or 1/4" (6.4 mm) holes usually located 1" (25.4 mm) from the center. The heater has no
internal insulation in order to accommodate a 2"-5" (50.8-127 mm) typical plenum area in its cavity. It
commonly has a back-mounted 3" (76.2 mm) hole for airflow. The hole size can match your specifications.
Smaller heaters have one hole, whereas larger heaters can have multiple holes. The airflow can also bedirected through the side or end of the heater casing in some applications. Individual high-temperature fans
can be attached directly to these holes, or a centrifugal fan can be used with ductwork to supply the air to
multiple heaters. The airflow construction commonly has 20 to 50 cfm/ft2. Applications for the FBA modelinclude removing moisture, operation in a secondary stage powder coating oven, screen printing, and
electronics.
The FBA-Series heater can be constructed as wide as 24" (610 mm) and as long as 72" (1829 mm),though not that width and length in the same heater. A 72" (1829 mm) long heater is commonly 12" (305

typical life expectancy of 25,000 hours. It has a high radiant efficiency of 78.5%. Because the heater's
design does not depend on an external reflector, the heater maintains a consistently high radiant efficiency
over time.Heaters in the F-Series line of infared panel heaters have a very durable emitter surface
constructed using a patented manufacturing process. The FB model has a solid flat uniform surface.Because the FBA heater has air holes drilled throughout its face, its insulation is removed in order to
accommodate an air delivery plenum.60- Meg Dr Unit 13

High Density Strip Heaters
The HD Strip Heater's highly compacted refractory material quickly conducts heatfrom the resistance wire to the sheath resulting in low in ternal temperatures and long
heater life in the most demanding applications. Precise placement of the resistance wireprovides un iform sheath temperature across the width and along the entire heated length.Terminal designs allow easy installation w iring. 3/8" thickness c reates a rigid sheath forsecure clamping ability . The HD Strip Heater is ideally suited for many industrial andcommercial applications.
Highly compressed refractory material for outstanding performance in surfaceheating or convection air heating applications .Rugged construct ion with hightemperature and high watt density capabilities

Mica Strip / Plate Heaters
Mica Strip Heaters are
available in a number of constructions depending on the material to be heated andthe application. Sheath temperatures are typically 700F to 1400F depending on
construction, watt density sheath material and type of insulation used.
Mineral insulated Mica Strip Heaters have the highest temperature rating in stainless
steel construction and attain a temperature of 1400F. Mica Strip Heaters are madeof zinc steel up to 900F and stainless steel up to 1200F. Mica Strip Heaters can be
made with holes notches and cutouts.
The HD Strip Heaters, constructed with a coiled nichrome wire, and then tightly
compacting it with MGO gives us a solid rigid heater that is enclosed in aluminizedsteel for 1100F or stainless steel for 1200F surface temp.
Ceramic Channel Heaters have nichrome wire supported on a ceramic core and then
tightly compacted in a seamless stainless steel sheath.
