We are excited to welcome Olivia Snodgrass to EastTexas Vascular Associates, PA. Olivia recentlygraduated with honors with her Masters of PhysicianAssistant Studies from Baylor College of Medicine(BCM) in Houston, TX. During her training at BCM,Olivia developed a passion for surgical patients andtheir specific health needs both before and aftersurgery. Prior to attending BCM, Olivia graduatedfrom Texas A&M University with a Bachelors ofScience in Biomedical Sciences and is a proud Fightin'Texas Aggie Class of 2012! Olivia will be focusing predominately on vascularfollow-up appointments for the three vascularsurgeons. She will be seeing patients on her own hereat the clinic. Olivia will act as an extension to Drs.Duncan, Kerns, and Harrison's care. Together theywill work as a team to provide quality care, which willmeet the demands of this growing practice.

What is a Physician Assistant (PA)?A PA is a midlevel provider who is fully trained toprovide medical care under the supervision of aphysician. PA’s are able to diagnose medicalconditions, order and interpret labs, prescribemedication, perform procedures and developtreatment plans. The key role of a PA is to extend thecare of the supervising physician to patients andincrease patient access to care. This team approachoptimizes the quality and efficiency of care while alsohelping to lower the overall cost to the patient.
