REDESIGNED WITH YOU IN MIND

• It is very important that all of your contact information on file is accurate. You will not be able to login to our new online banking if your phone number(s) and email address are not up-to-date. You can verify and update this information in online banking, by calling us at 757.728.1290, or by visiting any branch.

• For your security, if you are currently using your social security number as your online banking user ID, you need to login to online banking and change this as soon as possible.

• Bill Pay users need to turn off any eBills in online banking after they receive their February merchant statements.

• Last day to add any new bills to Bill Pay before 5:00 PM.

• Our old mobile app and Text Banking will no longer be available starting at 3:00 AM.

• Balance alerts will be unavailable starting at 2:00 AM.

• Our old online banking will switch to view-only mode at 5:30 PM. You can view your balances, transactions, and eStatements, but you will not have access to other online functions, including payments and transfers.Note: Any payments previously scheduled to be paid during this time will still be processed.

• Our old online banking platform will not be available starting at 5:30 PM.

• Download our new mobile app from the app/play store.Note: Be sure to delete our old mobile app.

• Log in to our new online banking starting at 8:00 AM.

FIRST-TIME LOGINThe first time you login to our new digital banking platform, you are required to go through a multi-factor authentication process, which will require receiving a secure access code. Your first time login can be done through online banking or our mobile app.

HOW TO LOG IN

1. Go to www.oldpoint.com and enter your current username and password in the online banking login box on the left bar.

2. You will then be asked to choose which email or phone number you would like to receive a secure access code sent to via email, call, or text. This code is for security purposes to validate your identity.

Note: This code is valid for a limited time. Do not share this code with anyone. We will never ask for it over the phone or by text.

3. You will then be asked whether or not you would like to register this device.

Note: Click Do Not Register Device if you are using a public computer. Only click Register Device if you are using a trusted, private device.

4. If your password does not meet the new requirements, you will be required to set up a new password.

5. You will then have access to online banking and will see a summary of your accounts on the home screen.

• All of the merchant information you currently have in Bill Pay, except for categories, will automatically transfer over.

• If you have any eBills set up, you will need to turn them off in online banking as soon as you receive your February statement from the merchant. You will be able to re-establish eBills in the new online banking system.

• The last day to enter new bills in Bill Pay is Monday, March 2nd at 5:00 PM.

limitedly and will not be supported at all after April 7, 2020.

• Android 5.x and later• Apple iOS 11, iOS 12, iOS 13• Supported Connectivity: 5G, 4G LTE, and Wi-Fi• Camera resolution of at least 5 megapixels• Mobile app functions best when GPS or Location Services are

enabled.

TEXT BANKING• Text Banking will be unavailable starting at 3:00 AM on

Thursday, March 5th.• Our Text Banking short code will change and you will need to

re-enroll within the new online banking system.

• Our old mobile app will be unavailable starting at 3:00 AM on Thursday, March 5th.

• You will need to delete the old version of our mobile app and download the new version onto your mobile device.

• Our new mobile app will be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on Tuesday, March 10th.

With Card Swap, you can easily and securely link your Old Point debit card to all of the online merchants you shop, subscribe, and stream - like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and more. If you have already connected your card to an online merchant, you can also quickly swap it out with a new, existing, or reissued card.

Q: WHY IS OLD POINT CHANGING MY ONLINE BANKING?

A: We are upgrading our online banking system as part of our ongoing effort to provide our customers with state-of-the-art banking functionality, convenience, and security. Our new online banking system offers robust functionality across all of your devices, and will enable you to bank anytime, anywhere like never before, making navigation simple and familiar.

Q: WHEN WILL THE UPGRADE TAKE EFFECT?

A: The online banking upgrade is scheduled for March 10, 2020. Please note that Bill Pay will be unavailable in the days immediately preceding the upgrade, during which time your scheduled payments will still be processed, but new payments cannot be scheduled.

Q: IS THERE ANY ACTION REQUIRED FROM ME BEFORE THE TRANSITION?

A: Yes, it is important that you validate and update your contact information before March 3rd in order to be able to login to the new system. You can update your contact information in online banking, by phone, or in-branch.

If you are currently using your social security number as your online banking user ID, you must login to online banking and change this as soon as possible.

Q: WILL I HAVE TO RE-ENROLL IN ONLINE BANKING?

A: No, if you are currently enrolled, your access will transfer over.

Q: WILL MY SCHEDULED TRANSFERS CONVERT OVER TO THE NEW SYSTEM?

A: Yes, your scheduled transfers will convert over to the new system.

Q: WILL MY TRANSACTION HISTORY TRANSFER OVER TO THE NEW SYSTEM?

A: Yes, you will have access to 2 years of transaction history.

Q: WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO MY E-STATEMENT HISTORY?

A: Yes, if you are an eStatement subscriber, you will have access to 25 months of eStatements.

Q: WILL I BE ABLE TO USE THIS ON MY PHONE/TABLET?

A: Absolutely. You can download the mobile app on any Android or Apple device, and it will provide a consistent experience with banking from your desktop. If you’re on a platform that isn’t Android or Apple, you can always access online banking via a compatible mobile browser.

Q: WILL I NEED TO DOWNLOAD A NEW MOBILE APP?

A: Yes. You will need to download the new mobile app from the app/play store and delete the old mobile app on your mobile device(s).

Q: WILL MY BILL PAY INFORMATION TRANSFER OVER?

A: If you currently use Old Point’s Bill Pay, your merchant information, except for categories, will transfer over to the new system. If you have any eBills set up, you will need to turn them off in online banking as soon as you receive your February statement from the merchant. You will be able to re-establish eBills in the new online banking system.

Q: WILL MY P2P POPMONEY INFORMATION TRANSFER OVER?

A: No. If you have payees set up for P2P payments using Popmoney in online banking, they will not transfer over to the new system. We recommend that you make a list of your P2P payees, so that you can input them into our new robust P2P solution.

Q: WILL OLD POINT CONTINUE TO AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCT PAYMENTS, BILLS, AND EXTERNAL LOAN PAYMENTS FROM MY ACCOUNT?

A: Yes. Please review your account to confirm that direct deposits and drafts are working as normal. Alert us in the event that you find an inconsistency. You may be asked by the direct deposit or draft originator to provide written confirmation of Old Point’s routing number (051406543).

Q: WHAT BROWSERS WILL THE NEW SYSTEM BE COMPATIBLE WITH?

A: The current and previous 2 versions of the following browsers are supported: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.NOTE: Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 is only supported limitedly and will not be supported at all after April 7, 2020.We recommend updating your browser to the latest version available—not just to ensure compatibility with the new online banking experience, but also to ensure that your online banking is as secure as possible. If you try to login with an incompatible browser you will be redirected to a website to download a new version of the browser.
