China Merchants Insurance Co., Ltd. ("CMI"), a wholly owned subsidiary of the ChinaMerchants Finance Holding Co., Ltd., was formed in Hong Kong in 1988. Relying onthe long established reputation and financial strength of the Group, CMI is engaged inproviding a wide range of quality general insurance services, such as propertyinsurance, liability insurance, cargo transportation insurance, accident insurance, etc. toboth commercial and personal clients in Hong Kong. China Merchants Finance Holding Co., Ltd., a principle subsidiary directly under theChina Merchants Group, is principally engaged in the financial business, includingbanking, insurance, fund investment and asset management, and securities, which hasbecome a core sector and main profit contributor of the China Merchants Group.China Merchants Group ("The Group"), being one of the "Top Four Chinese Enterprises'in Hong Kong and a forerunner in the development of the national industry and commercein China, was established in 1872. In its corporate history of over 130 years, the Grouphas built the first Chinese merchant fleet, established the first Chinese insurance company,participated in the setting up of the first Chinese bank and has played important roles inmany other industries in the modern history of China. Today, the Group has emerged asa solid and strong conglomerate with businesses spanning China, Hong Kong, SouthEast Asia and many other regions with economic potential. The Group's main businessescover three core sectors of transportation (ports and related services, toll roads, energyshipping and logistics), finance (banking, securities, funds and insurance), as well asproperty (development and management). In recent years, the excellent businessperformance of the Group and many of its public listed subsidiaries, such as ChinaMerchants Holding (International), China Merchants Bonk, China Merchants Securities,China Merchants Direct Investment, China Merchants Property Development, etc. hasattracted social admiration. 2. Wear, tear, moths, vermin, insects, damp, rust, denting, chipping or scratching.3. Electrical or mechanical breakdown or derangement, faulty design in materials,
plan or specification, impairment in the function of software or computer programsor of its date related performance and functionality.
4. Any loss caused by or arising from asbestos in whatever form or quantity.
