The Occupational English Test (OET) is currently in the process of looking for medicalprofessionals to help us create materials for the Nursing sub-tests.

The OETThe OET is a language test for qualified health practitioners to gain provisional registration topractise in an English-speaking context, predominantly Australia. It assesses English languageproficiency as it is used in medical and health professional settingsand is recognized by DIAC.

Creation of Sub-testsWe are currently in need of nursing practitioners to help create sub-tests that reflect currentnursing practice and issues. We are able to pay $150 for expert content input (review of 2writing tasks or 8 role-play prompts). Most of this can be done by email; practitioners do notneed to be in Melbourne we can use Skype or phone.

Writing and Speaking TasksThe tasks are as follows:

x For Writing, candidates are presented with case notes & instructions, and must write adefined letter.

x For Speaking they perform two short role-plays, which are recorded.
