– Message from Ms René MacQuillin

As I reflect on our first quarter of the school year I can’t help marvelling at the obvious delight from the faces of the children I see every day. It reminds me of a Dr Seuss poem….. The atmosphere of joyful learning has become widespread and contagious. I see it in the young 2 year olds who have started this term in awe of their beautiful environment where the possibilities to learn seem endless. Their contentment is also expressed with the warm greetings I receive from those young Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten children every day as I visit the classrooms. A love of learning is sustained throughout our school. We had a busy time with Open House and many other activities, such as our themed assemblies: Animal Day and Colour Day, as well as a visit to the Fire Station. I would like to also express in this reflection how much I have enjoyed meeting with the parents at our Open House in a somewhat more informal setting.

As the school year is flying by and the first quarter has come to an end, we are also very proud of our wonderful school as we have developed the new facilities and the learning experiences and opportunities that we offer our students. Our school values underpin all that we do in a supportive and caring environment.

I would like to thank the teachers for all the fun learning activities they involved the children in during this quarter. We look forward to guiding and sharing your child's learning journey during this year. Have a wonderful school holiday and see you next term! Warm regards Ms René

Dear Parents,

It is the end of the first quarter and your kids are enjoying it here to the fullest.

We are doing our best to help your kids Learn.

Parents please remember that your involvement is a must .

Welcome to the Pre Kindergarten (M). What a great beginning we have had. Already into

the 2nd month and the classroom schedules and activities are well under way. Children are

happy and have adjusted nicely to the routine of school. It’s a pleasure to have your

children in our class. We are looking forward to a great year. The curriculum for the

month will revolve around finishing our units on growing, and enhancing our memory

and recall skills by revisiting much of what we have

learned and done. We have many happy days ahead of

us and I look forward to sharing them with you and

your children.

Play is also integral to childhood that a child who does not have the

opportunities to play is cut off from a major portion of childhood.

Welcome back to our Pre-school. As in the beginning of the year, we understand that the issue

of separation from parents and home is very challenging for your child. So, we want to

reassure you that we will do everything possible to help your child

feel safe, secure and have fun at school. Through our wonderful

learning activities and experiences, your child will be learning to take

care of themselves, share, respect, express and manage their

feelings and needs. Understand the appropriate behavior, have

confidence in their own abilities and find joy in their own learning. We

are looking forward to a wonderful year with you and your child and to

have shared in your child’s development.

with smiles, joy and happiness. Hope to get a wonderful
