Jessica Renee McLin, 27, of Daleville, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2014.

Fu n e ra l services will be at 2 p.m. T h u r s d a y , Oct. 23, in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise with Rev. James Kilpatrick offici-ating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednes-day from 6 until 8 p.m.

Jessica was born Sept. 8, 1987 in Dothan, to James Randall McLin and Christina Hines Sanders. She was pre-ceded in death by her grand-mother, Evelyn McLin.

Survivors include her parents, Randy McLin of Daleville and Tina Sanders of Tuscaloosa; two brothers, Sterling Sanders (Jessica) of Tuscaloosa and Zach McLin of Daleville; paternal grandfa-ther, James R. McLin; mater-nal grandparents, Dewayne and Eleanore Moore; uncles and aunts, Ricky McLin (Kay) and Sandra Mione (Dan), all of Daleville.

SHIRLEY HELMS EDBERG

Shirley Helms Edberg, 64, of New Brockton went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014 at Medical Cen-ter Enterprise following an extended illness. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Mynatt offi-ciating.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing until service time.

Mrs. Edberg was born June 12, 1950 in Tokyo, Japan to Mary Lavinia Jor-dan Helms and the late James Carl Helms.  She was the trea-surer and past president of the General Edmond Win-chester Rucker Chapter and past Alabama Division Trea-surer of The United Daugh-ters of the Confederacy.  She had 34 years of service at The Citizens Bank.  She was a dedicated member of Hill-crest Baptist Church.

Her father, James Helms, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, James E. Edberg of New Brockton; her son, Thomas R. Guess III (Salina) of Woodstock, Ga.; her daughter, Kellie E. Lun-sford (Bryan) of Marietta, Ga.; her mother, Mary Lavin-ia Helms of Enterprise; her sister, Marie Koach (Stephen) of Enterprise; her brother, Kenneth Helms (Heather) of Fayetteville, Ga.; four grand-children, Emily Guess, Zach-ary Puerto, Mary Margaret, and Easton Lunsford.

Clara Byrd Averett, 85, of Enterprise, passed away Fri-day, Oct. 17, 2014 in a local hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 20, at Cal-

vary Baptist Church with Rev. Kerry Mitchell and Rev. Billy Mills officiating. Burial fol-lowed in Calvary Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory officiating. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

Mrs. Averett was pre-ceded in death by her hus-band, James Dolan Averett; two brothers, James Byrd and Bobby Byrd; and sister, Kath-leen Byrd.
