*** LEADERSHIP TRAINING CONFERENCE WILL TAKE PLACE MARCH 30TH - APRIL 1ST!! Every year, hundreds of Key Club members gather to spend a weekend participating in workshops, social events and other sessions. The incredibly memorable, exciting and service filled weekend is a result of the preparation and dedication of the New York District Conference Committee. All members that do not hold a position in the New York District Board of Trustees and are in good standing with Key Club International may apply for a position in the committee. Within this document are descriptions of the various positions offered for the 64th Annual New York District Conference Committee.

Introduction
Every year, hundreds of Key Club members gather to spend a weekend participating in workshops, social events and other sessions. The incredibly memorable, exciting and service filled weekend is a result of the preparation and dedication of the New York District Conference Committee. All members that do not hold a position in the New York District Board of Trustees and are in good standing with Key Club International may apply for a position in the committee. Below are descriptions of the various positions offered for the 64th Annual New York District Conference Committee.
The Conference Committee is appointed by Governor Domenick Pesce.
Conference Committee DescriptionConference Chair
The responsibility of this Key Clubber is to plan an organized and successful conference. This member oversees the entire committee and works closely with Governor Domenick.
Contest Chair
This Key Club member is responsible for the promotion and planning of all contests. In addition, the member in this position ensures all contests are judged fairly, the winners are announced, and plans the distribution of awards.
House Chair
Key Clubber works with the hosting hotel, the Holiday Inn Hotel, to ensure that all meeting rooms being used for the conference are arranged properly and ready for use. This includes ensuring that the proper furniture and equipment necessary are ready to be used at their designated locations (i.e. seating, projectors, podiums, flags, etc).
Program / Assistant Technology I
The guide for the weekend’s events and other information is provided to attendees via the Conference program. This Key Clubber designs the program so it provides all needed information in a clear way. When the conference begins, this Key Clubber assists the District Webmaster / Technology Chair in the revising and playing of the PowerPoint slideshows in addition to other technological assistance. This individual must possess STRONG computer skills and abilities. In your application for this position, please provide sample works of desktop publishing (brochures, fliers, newsletters, or other printed samples).
Assistant Technology II
This Key Clubber is also responsible for assisting the District Webmaster / Technology Chair. Prior to the conference, this individual helps the District Webmaster create PowerPoint slideshows and work with sound, music and other technological assistance. At the conference, this Key Clubber works closely with the Assistant Technology I and Technology Chair to ensure that the technological aspects run accordingly. You must possess STRONG computer skills and abilities. In your application for this position, please provide sample works of desktop publishing (PowerPoint slideshows, websites, et cetera).

Sergeant-At-Arms Chair (1 Female, 1 Male)
These two (2) individuals are responsible for organizing the Sergeant-At-Arms group and arranging these volunteers. They are responsible the safety of all attendees by enforcing the rules and the Code of Conduct.
Hospitality Chair
This Key Clubber is responsible for the promotion of the conference. He/she ensures that all clubs in the New York District receive Conference Registration Packets and have the opportunity to attend the Conference. This individual is also responsible for contacting clubs for registration reminders and works closely with the District Board and Conference Chair to explore new ways to promote the Conference. Upon the arrival of attendees, this Key Clubber is in charge of hospitality meaning welcoming conference attendees and ensuring that they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
*Important Requirement!Anyone that has an intention to serve on the Conference Committee must be able to attend the
New York District Key Club Winter Board Meeting the weekend of February 4th and 5th.

All applications must be postmarked by the date listed below. No late applications will be accepted. All members of this committee must agree to attend the required Preconference Meetings (dates, times, and locations to be determined).

Your letter of intent should include:
• Why you are seeking this position
• Past Key Club experience (offices held, District/International Conventions attended, Rallies/Training Conferences attended, events chaired, personal experiences, et cetera)
• Ideas you plan on developing if chosen
• Anything else you deem pertinent
Applications must include the following:
1.) This form signed and completed
2.) One (1) letter of intent
3.) One (1) signed recommendation letter by Faculty
Advisor or Kiwanis Advisor
4.) One (1) recommendation letter from fellow Key Clubber (either member or officer)
5.) Sample works if the position you are seeking requests it (see Conference Committee Description).
