NYC Opera was the first major opera company to champion the works of such pioneers

as Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, Frank Loesser, Frederick Loewe,

Richard Rodgers, Sigmund Romberg, and Stephen Sondheim, and this tradition

continues to win new audiences for opera. As the centerpiece of the Broadway Ball,

rising New York City Opera stars will lend their glorious voices and dramatic flair to a

concert of highlights from the Company’s rich repertoire of musical theater classics.
