Grade 6 HW: Daily Requirements
• Write down your homework for each
subject every day. This must be done foreach class, every day .
• Make sure you write down what thespecific assignment IS (what you need to
do), as well as WHEN it is due and in
WHAT FORM (for example, a typeddocument; handwritten paper;
PowerPoi nt; etc.).

Grade 6 HW: Daily Requirements
• For bigger assignments (ones that willtake more than one night to complete):
write down the final due date, then break
your project up into smaller steps (we
will discuss how to do this in class,
too!). Write down the smaller steps and
the due dates for them. This will help
you accomplish your task by breaking itup into smaller pieces.

Grade 6 HW: Daily Requirements
eDo not wait until the last minute tocomplete your assignments. Start a day
or two ahead - that will give you time to
ask any questions and to do your best
work. In the case of big unit projects,
you should plan to work on them a bit at
a time over two weeks.

HW Diaries:
All MS/HS students will be required to keep a HW Diary,
provided by HKA, this year for each of their classes.
When you get your HW Diary, the first thing you need to
do is put your full name (first and last) on the inside front
cover.
Then you should fill in your daily schedule into the front
as well.
After you are done with both of those things, flip through
your Diary looking for different ways to use it.
We will discuss more about these Diaries in a few
minutes.
