Andres Ippolito is a Sport and Recreation

Management major To expand his

knowledge of sport he took advantage of

his schedule around Labor Day to plan a

trip to the headquarters of FIM in Switzer-

land Little did he know that he would be

able to extend his trip due to Hurricane Ir-

ma It turned out to be a great experience

How did he arrange such a trip Well his uncle Vito Ippolito just happens to be

the president of FIM Geneva was certainly not a vacation His uncle put him to

work meeting with various members of his staff to not only learn about their opera-

tion but to pick his brain and do some research about major sports in the United

States Andres was even asked to create a power point presentation before he

left His report focused on six areas which FIM should consider Women in

Sports Social Media Player Associations Fantasy Leagues Pay-for-View and E-

sports Herersquos a little more about FIM It was founded in 1904 Itrsquos been head-

quartered in Switzerland since 1994 and has a staff of 36 There are 113 National

Motorcycle Federations (FMN) divided in 6 Continental Unions (Africa Asia Eu-

rope Latin America North America and Oceania)

ceremony honored students from the Winter 2017 semester

Herersquos ldquoSqueakyrdquo along with Dr Rita Shea-Van Fossen Assistant Dean Assurance of Learning and Undergraduate Affairs and Associate Professor of Management and the lunch-eon guest speaker Blain Heck-aman CPA Mr Heckaman is Managing Principal at Kaufman Rossin He talked about the importance of networking and how technology is continually changing the way business op-erates

Serves customers by completing enrollments for our mascotrsquos kids club The Rat Pack and assisting with in game promotions All sales benefit The Florida Panthers Foundation our non-profit

This is a paid opportunitymdash$7500 each game

Rat Pack Job Duties

Attend the game day meeting two and a half hours before puck drop (Meeting at 500

for a 730 game)

Retain all information needed because your manager is unavailable during games

Prepare the kiosk for each game to be themed for each month and ready for sales

Acquire and process sales during game days for the kidsrsquo club and calendar

Develop a relationship with our non-profit organization

Coordinate with a sales partner to maximum sales

Manage the Roar Corps (entertainment team) to optimize most attraction to your booth

Analyze your own performance each game and report each game to your supervisor

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Strong communication general math skills proactive general business skills sports expe-rience (or desire for experience) extrovert personality type and desire to succeed
