The President’s FY14 Budget Request

Proposed  Investments  in  STEM:  

•  $150  million  for  grants  to  STEM  Innova7on  Networks  

•  $5  million  will  be  set  aside  from  this  program  for  a  STEM  Virtual  Learning  Network  

•  $35  million  to  pilot  the  STEM  Master  Teacher  Corps  

•  $80  million  to  recruit  and  train  effec7ve  STEM  teachers  

Proposed  investments  in  Career  and  Technical  Educa:on:  

•  $1.1  billion  to  support  the  reauthoriza7on  of  the  Career  and  Technical  Educa7on  (CTE)  Program    

•  $42  million  for  CTE-­‐focused  dual-­‐enrollment
