DAY-1
DATE: 09/02/2015

ACTIVITY: INAUGURAL SESSION
A one week NSS Special camp was organized by AITAM NSS Unit. Inaugural session was
initiated by the village Sarpanch and the director of AITAM.
On this occasion P. Vasantha kumar who is M.P.T.C of the village felt happy for conducting this
type of programme for one week in the village.
The management of the AITAM had been asked to provide proper library facility for the graduates
in the village by the sarpanch. And also he wished all the best for the NSS Volunteers those who
are going to participate in one week NSS Special camp.
The NSS Volunteers are requested to give career guidance for 10th class students by the school
HM, N. Prasad patnaik.
Dr. A. Srinivasarao who is a dean Academics of AITAM suggested the students, this
kind of participation would give more social interaction and also it would give the
more chances for inculcating moral, ethics and values.
Second session of the day, clean and green programme was organized by the NSS
Volunteers with school students and villagers.

DAY – 2

Activity : Agriculture Awareness programme
Second day programme was initiated to make the people aware of scientific
agricultural approaches. The chief guest and the guest of honour had been asked to
suggest right scientific agricultural approaches for the farmers.

The chief guest of the programme Dr. A.V. Ramana who is currently a professor of
Agricultural college, Naira made his speech on different scientific approaches. And
the guest of honour Dr. P. Satyanarayana who is a mandal agriculture officer of
Tekkali gave his valuable suggestions on how to protect crops from the insects. He
also emphasized the usage of compost fertilizers.
Second session of the day, a demonstration was given by G. Appanna who is the
Marketing Head of Kubota, Srikakulam with his latest equipments.
At the end of the programme, videos had been played on latest agricultural
approaches for more effectiveness.

DAY – 3

Activity: VETERNARY CAMP
Third day of the week, veterinary camp was organized. This camp was initiated by local Veterinary
doctors. On this occasion the chief guest of the programme, Dr. M. Prasada rao who is working in
Lingalavalasa, made his speech on India’s milk products and also he pointed out that India is one
of the largest milk producers in the world. He concluded his speech by suggesting the youth to
come forward to establish milk dairies with subsidies of the Indian government.
Second session of the day, the NSS Volunteers visited milk dairy form to know the more things
about the maintenance of the diary.

DAY-4

Activity: MEDICAL CAMP
The fourth day of the week, there was an announcement about medical camp before organization.
Medical camp was conducted in the village to make the people of the village more aware about
their health issues. Medical checkup was done by the invited doctors and suitable medicines were
given to the needy.
Second session of the day, eye checkup event was done by the invited doctors and suitable
medicines were given to the needy and also suggested operations for the patients who have severe
problem. And finally, at the end of the programme some ayurvedic medicine were distributed to
prevent Swine-flu disease

DAY-5
DATE: 13/02/2015

Activity: REVENUE CAMP
A revenue camp was organized to discuss certain common problems faced
by the villagers regarding revenue issues, like eligibilities of monthly pension
scheme of senior citizens, PH Candidates and widows. Revenue inspector of Tekkali
mandal suggested that every villager should take his/her birth certificates, if anybody
passes away they should take death certificates for them. And also announced that
those who are eligible to cast their votes, they should enroll their names with the
village revenue officer of the village. The Mandal revenue officer of Tekkali
suggested that every house should have its own toilet in order to make the village
very clean.
At the end of the session some games like anthyakshari, musical chair and kerchief
game had been conducted for the school children.

DAY-6
DATE: 14/02/2015
PLACE: Srikakulam
Activity: Old age home visit
The morning session of the last day was ended up with the fruits distribution for old people of
prashanti oldage home. After reaching the oldage home, we had a brief interaction programme
with the people of the home to know the way they are leading their lives and problems and
difficulties at this juncture.
The evening session of the day was concluded with interactive session with young people of the
village. In the discussion, there were many questions raised by the young people regarding
education, career development and other issues. Finally we were asked to provide library facility
and computer facility to develop their knowledge. A promise was given to them for providing
required facilities by our college management. The camp was winded up with prize distribution
for the students who won different competitions.
