Join us on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10am at Schenley Park (cor-ner of 57th Avenue and 28th Street). The day will be filled withexciting FREE activities for the entire family: egg hunt, potato sackraces, kid's crafts, prizes, sno-cones, cotton candy, popcorn, foodtrucks, music, a bounce house and a visit from the Easter Bunny.Bring your picnic blankets and enjoy a day at the park.
Don't be late...the Egg Hunt will begin promptly at 10 a.m.Remember to bring your Easter Basket or Bag!

As you know, NSP is all about bringing our neigh-bors together. Over the last year, we've seen more andmore neighbors come together to support NSP andenjoy the events we’ve all come to love.
Last year, we created a new event, Rock the Park.With bands and food trucks, it was a huge hit. Wewere so happy to see so many new faces. It was trulya fun day at the park. Many thanks to Music GrandEffect, Berretta Grove, Rudy Gil, Streekind and DJ Bertfor putting on such a great show. It rocked!
Our signature Halloween event was amazing. Infact, we even had a frozen beverage truck on 32 Street.Huge hit – the pink lemonade hit the spot...
NSP’s Miracle at Schenley Park was bigger and bet-ter than ever before at its new venue. Holiday music,
to it!hop
treats and a visit from jolly ol' Saint Nickmade for a fun afternoon at he park. Best of all, we were able to finish off the nightwith a movie under the stars. Thank you toall who donated so many toys. MCH's RadioLollipop distributed them to hospitalizedchildren on Christmas morning.
I want to thank our NSP board as well asthe next door neighbors of the park for help-ing make all our events a success. I wouldalso like to thank Miami Children's Hospital,Chairwoman Rebeca Sosa and her staff fortheir generous support, which has made ourcommunity events a reality.

Parks with playgrounds are an integral part of neighborhood living,” said Chairwoman Sosa. “This new playground will provide thiscommunity’s children with a safe place to socialize and enjoy outdoor playtime.”
The new 3,800-square-foot playground is designed for children ages 2-12 and features the popular Evos®play system equipment with overhead ladders, steppers, slides, gliders, swings and a Dino Climber,manufactured by Landscape Services Inc. The playarea includes two shade structures and an artificialturf surface for ADA accessibility. Improvementsincluded fencing, paved walkways, landscaping, shade trees and solar lighting for the walkways.
