PRAYER & PRAISE After the morning service, if you have prayer needs, please visit room 1

on the north side of the sanctuary. Congratulations to Calvin & Susan Boonstra on the birth of a baby boy,

Calvin Theodore, on Wednesday, November 5. Keep Pete Boonstra in prayer as he receives treatment for cancer in his

lung. Diane Dash was able to return home from the hospital this week after

being struck by a car last month. Judy Rispens continues to undergo rehab at Providence, but has hopes of

returning home soon. Tom Tazelaar will be having some radiation treatments to reduce back

and shoulder pain that he’s been experiencing recently. John Veldsema had minor surgery this week, but is home and recovering

well. Garry Wieringa is having cancer surgery tomorrow at Edward Hospital in

Naperville. Pray for successful surgery and good recovery for Garry, as well as peace for him and his family.

Remember to pray for those who are unable to join us in worship. Today we think of Sis Bosman who lives in Oak Brook.

ANNOUNCEMENTS The Wednesday morning Men's prayer group is considering moving the

The Choir for Thanksgiving Day will rehearse on Sunday, November 23, after the morning worship in the Choir room. Choir members should be at church on Thanksgiving Day at 9:00 AM. The Instrumentalists for Thanksgiving Day will rehearse on Sunday, November 23, at 4:00 PM in the Choir room and should be at church at 9:15 AM on Thanksgiving morning. Please prayerfully consider joining these musical groups to enhance our worship with your God-given talents.

Spaghetti supper: Join us this Thursday for the GEMS annual Spaghetti Supper, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Donations will go toward our GEMS Counselor Education Fund. Come for an evening of fellowship and food, and stay, if you like, for the Night of Worship at 7:00 PM.

Next week is the last week to bring in goodies for the College Care Packages! Thank you for those who have already brought in snacks. We have a great start, but we still need more to make sure our packages are full! Next week there will be cards to each of our college students in the back of church that you can sign with a word of encouragement. The packages will be ready for pick up at the Thanksgiving service (those not picked up will be mailed). If you have any questions, please see Kelly.

The Faith Book Club has chosen The Cross in the Shadow of the Crescent by Erwin Lutzer for the November meeting. In this compelling book, Dr. Lutzer shows that while the spread of Islam in the U.S. is a concern for Christians, this is an opportunity to share the gospel with the Muslim community. We will meet on Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 PM.

Honduras Serve Project 2015: This year there will be two opportunities for Faith CRC to serve at the ministries of All God’s Children. The first will be a combined group with Faith Tinley on January 31 - February 7. The second will take place during Holy week, March 27-April 3. Each week will provide wonderful opportunities to serve our Lord and the people of Honduras and the ministries of All God’s Children! The deadline for registration and deposit for the January date is November 16. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to serve. A Breakfast for Seniors will be served by Cadets and Deacons on Saturday, November 22, from 8:00 - 9:00 AM here at Faith. All seniors are welcome! The Giving Tree/Angel Tree: The deacons of our church are sponsoring a special Christmas gift-giving program to benefit members and friends of our congregation. We are also collecting gifts for local children of prisoners by participating in the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program. A tree will be set up in the Fellowship Hall on November 30 with ornaments listing a specific gift need. As a congregation, we are invited to pick an ornament and purchase the listed gift item. Choose an angel gift tag for the Angel Tree Program; all other tags are for members & friends of our congregation. It is suggested that these gifts range in value from $15.00 to $20.00. The gift is to be wrapped, the paper ornament taped to the package, and the present put under the tree by the morning service of December 14. The gifts will then be distributed to the designated family by the deacons & volunteers. All ornaments need to be registered with a volunteer.
