THE UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME,For many years favorably known, and liberally patronized, has passed through the present eventful year without injury from sources which have proved so highly detrimental to many educational establishments.

The different Departments have been more fully developed, both in reference to Classes and to Discipline. A new building has been erected for the further accommodation of the students of each department.

The health of the students has been remarkably good.As heretofore, especial attention will be paid to the religious

instruction of Catholic students. The Faculty will be as full and efficient as ever; but owing

to the expected arrival of the Visitor from the Principal House in France, no complete organization can be made, and it has been thought better to omit the names of the members of the Faculty until September, when they will be made known.

All letters should be addressed toV e r y R e v . E. SORIN, President,

Notre Pctme, Ind.
