Unified Theater Server Platform“All-in-one” drop-in-place quick response emergency medical server solution for field medical operations and humanitarian/disaster relief situations.
The key performance characteristics of UTSP are Redundancy, Reliability, and Scalability.
UTSP achieves Redundancy and Reliability via: Dual Server Solution – innovative technology with open architecture systems Secure Wireless Mesh Networking solution for 24/7 availability Multiple reach-back technologies, to include:
Mobile Broadband 3G/4G Connectivity Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN Satcom) UHF/VHF Commercial ISP
UTSP achieves Scalability via:Multiple scenarios from early entry to longer contingency operationsVMWare virtualization of servers to allow multiple instances of numerous operating systems that support medical applications on a single physical platformFull-scale drop-in-place server solution to reduced bag-pack solution Secure Wireless Mesh Networking
NOTM System ComponentsNetworking On-The-Move, NOTM is a mobile and modular command and control system providing situational awareness. The C2 system utilizes secure networks, multiple radio suites, and tactical software applications that enable reliable over-the-horizon, on-the-move data in the field.
NOTM provides data, voice, and video information while on the move. Ku-Band satellite sub-system (KA-Band ready) Wireless sub-system(wireless to Staff Vehicles) HF/VHF/UHF-SATCOM and combat operations capability while on-the-move. 2004-2006 2007-2008 2008-2009 2010-2011 2012
The United States Marine Corps identified a need for a joint, air transportable, integrated, lightweight, rapidly deployable, self sufficient vehicle mounted capability to support over-the-horizon [OTH] on-the-move [OTM] digital Command and Control [C2].
To fulfill this requirement, GD-C4S and Pelatron teamed to develop proto-types for OTM called M2C2 for the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and Marine Forces Pacific Experimentation Center (MEC).
Sept 2004 Office of Naval Research (ONR) funds Mobile Modular Command & Control (M2C2) research project
Transitions the M2C2 OTM program from a technology incubator to a field-sustainable system for the war fighter called Combat Operations Center (COC) Battlefield Remote Access & Awareness Applications (COBRA3).
NOTM is now fielded across the Marine Corps MAGTF
